The game had been going on for fifteen minutes now, and I was starting to get bored. Watching sports isn't really my favourite thing to do, especially at ten in the morning.

I turn to look at Lily, seeing her on her phone.

"Can we just go now? I'm going to literally die of boredom, and I have no clue what is going on in this game."

She turns to me, but right before she could reply, the ball comes barrelling towards us and hits the fence with so much force that I almost scream. I never scream, so me being on the verge of screaming is a turning point in my journey to becoming an attention whore. However, I wasn't going to let that happen so I just turn towards the court, trying to see who clearly can't play properly.

I roam my eyes over all of the players, seeing a group huddled around one guy who is probably the one who couldn't throw the ball in a straight line.

He was shorter than the rest and had a head red hair. Well, that explains it then.

I look back over to Lily as she looks on at the group of boys who now seem to be pushing the short guy towards a bench on the far side of the court.

I guess he's out.

The whistle blows again, signalling the game to resume, and I start to walk away from the crowd, pulling Lily along with me. I really don't want to stay here anymore. I have better things to do with my time, like sleeping.

"Oh c,mon Lizzie, we havn't even been there for that long." Complains Lily with a frown on her face.

"I don't care, It's a waste of my time, and I need another cuppa. Let's go. I don't even know why you want to stay so bad."

"Fine, but you're paying today because I'm nearly broke from the amount of tea you consume from the cafe."

'Well I never told you to pay all the time. If I stopped you, you probably would have curb stomped me and I don't want to ruin this beautiful face." I joked, slowing my pace down a bit as we near the doors of the cafe.

I open the doors for us and step inside, looking around for Josie's familiar bright smile.

"Hey i'm going to grab us a table, u want to order?"Lily asks moving away from me towards a secluded table in the corner of the shop.

"Yeah, I need to ask Josie something anyways."I reply.

I'v been meaning to get a job over the summer, but I decided to just enjoy it without the stress, so I didn't apply anywhere in the hopes of there being vacancies when school started. Since then, I'v totally forgotten about it, so now I want to try and apply to anywhere that will take me.

First off is the Cafe.

"Hey Joe, how are you?" I spot her coming out of the doors behind the counter, which is most likely the kitchen, and see her smile at me as she walks up to me.

She's wearing the famous black apron with a cartoon cup of coffee on the front. Kinda cute if you ask me.

"I'm good thanks, Lizzie. You're usual?" She asks.

She knows us too well.

"Yes please."I reply, hesitating before asking the big question. "Hey, I was wondering if you have any space for me here. I'm thinking of getting a job and figured this would be the best place to start?"

Joe loos back at me from the drinks machine and a look of relief washes over her face at my request. "Of course I do. Winnie quit a few days ago and I'v been trying to keep up with all of the customers but it's been busy. I'v been meaning to put out a leaflet for a job, but I havn't gotten around to it yet."

I sigh in relief at her words and continue to talk to her about when I could start before saying goodbye to her and turning around with the tray in my hand.

See, I never knew my clumsiness was that bad, because I'v only ever managed to embarrass myself, but in this moment, I realised how stupid I must be for not looking up when I'm walking, especially when I'm holding a tray of hot drinks.

It clatters to the floor with the tea staining the front of my shirt and the unlucky guy who I happened to crash into.

"Fuck me." I groan, before looking up to see a group of boys, and right at the front, the guy who was unfortunate enough to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Yeah, you can guess. Jonas.

The game must have finished and these guys were probably coming to the cafe to celebrate their success, when they happened to crash right into me.

My eyes widen as I look at him. He has a smirk on his face and I only just realise, there are specks of grey in his eyes, making them even more beautiful.

I was interrupted from my stupid thoughts by his voice.

"If you wanted to get my attention that bad, you could have just spoken to me instead of spilling hot tea all over me." he raises an eyebrow and I can feel my cheeks warming up at the insinuation.

"What makes you think I want your attention so bad?" I counter, feeling myself stand taller so as not to be intimidated by him.

I can definitely think of many reasons why someone would want his attention, but now was not the time to think about that.

He chuckles at my response, and he has a twinkle in his eye as he takes in my appearance.

I'm guessing I don't look good with tea stains all over my top.

He points to my shirt and says,"I think you should clean yourself up."

"I could say the same for you, Sherlock." I respond, a cocky tone to my voice.

He raises an eyebrow and looks down at himself, seeming to only now notice the tea stains on his red basketball vest. I follow his eyes down and take in his appearance, to his bare arms which show his muscles as they subtly flex as he grabs onto the bottom of his shirt, furrowing his eyebrows at the stain.

His hands.

That's the only thing I see as he looks back at me and that same cocky smirk rests on his face. I bring my eyes back up to his before the same smirk spreads over my face. I try not to look too flustered, and that seems to be the only thing I'v been doing lately. Stopping myself from blushing.

Since when did that start anyway?

"Won't you look at that. Princess has a mouth on her." He stares at me, trying to gauge a reaction as I turn around back to the counter and swipe up a few napkins, handing them to him as he just stands there looking between me and the tissues in my hand.

I raise my eyebrow, waiting for him to take them and when he does, I grab some more and start to pick up the fallen mugs and tray from the floor.

It seems as though the whole cafe has stopped at the commotion, but i hadn't noticed.

Josie comes up behind me as I turn with the tray and put it on the nearest table.

"I'll clean up the rest, you go home and get yourself cleaned up." she says, and I smile at her in gratitude and beckon Lily over. She has that same damn smirk on her face which is starting to get annoying, as she walks up to me and winks. Why does she keep doing that? I'm seriously going to smack her.

I ignore her and head towards the door, just wanting to get home and change, because the tea has started to get sticky against my skin.

I really wanted that drink as well.

Before I step out, I hear that low voice one last time before rolling my eyes and exiting the cafe.

"Later, princess."
