All night, the only thing I can think about is Jonas' intense gaze. His words that make me so nervous that I have to shove my face into my pillow so I don't accidentally scream out in frustration.

I'm kind of surprised that he apologised, and made such a big deal out of it, secretly asking Lily to arrange a meet. I mean, he could have just sent a text, but then again I probably wouldn't feel as happy as I do right now.

I can still hear his voice in my ears as I stare up at the ceiling in the dark .

I decide to scroll on my phone to distract myself from these thoughts.

Pulling up instagram, I scroll through my feed and look through my stories distractedly before I get a message notification.

What is it those people say?

Speak of the devil?

I click on the message that still awaits at the top of my screen, and read it out in my head for a good minute before I start to reply.

What are you doing awake this late, princess?

I could ask the same for you, hijab ripper.

Just couldn't sleep. And what the hell is that? I already told you, I had no idea that would nearly happen. I already apologised. What more do you want.

A burger.

I already bought you garlic.

Wow, how nice of you.

He sends the rolling eye emoji, and I grin in satisfaction, to get an annoyed reaction from him.

So, what are you doing?

Nothing much. Lying in bed like normal people do at night.

Very funny, princess. Your humour is to die for.

That is what I get told often actually. Everyone seems to enjoy it.

I add a proud emoji at the end and wait for his response, turning to lie on my right side.

What are you up to tomorrow?

Not much, probably just going to study. You?

I've got a basketball game tomorrow. Do you want to come?

My eyebrows furrow at his question. Why would he want me there?

Why?

Why not.

Maybe I'll come. what time is it?

11 am. At the courts like last time.

I can't promise you'll see me that early in the day, this girl needs sleep.

I'll see you there, then.

Well, I guess I'm going to a basketball game tomorrow. What if I don't go, just to spite him?

*cue evil laugh*

I send a quick message to Lily telling her bout Jonas inviting me to his game and telling her she's coming with me.

I yawn and switch off my phone, dropping it on my bedside table and turning back over to fall asleep in peace.

so I know this is a short chapter, but u hope y'all still enjoy it.
