It's Not a Party Without a Truck

"Isn't it a bit soon for a rematch?"

I changed back into my normal form, a smirk plastered on my face. "Now I know how you work."

He grew his own small smirk. It did look rather unsettling with the grapes growing out of his neck, but still nowhere near Mori's level. Compared to him, this was a kid's show. "Tell me, do you know much about grape vines?"

"Who do you think you're talking to?" I chuckled, feeling his sad attempt at amubushing with the vines getting ready through the ground." They find other plants to attach themselves to then dig their roots in."

"Yeah, kinda like THIS!" The vines shot at me again, but before they could touch me, I turned into a grizzly bear and jumped for the pair. The vines shot up, getting set to wrap around me, but before they could get a grip, I changed into a leopard, harmlessly slipping though them and barreling straight for John.

A wall of vines appeared, blocking me and making me sink my claws in them momentarily before I turned into a common swift to avoid the ones that tried to grab me.

"Sorry to cut this short, but I finally caught my prey!" John called from the other side as his steps grew quieter.

Fuck... The vines came back to life, shooting at me from all angles. I darted around the barrage, barely managing to avoid getting grabbed as I made my way to the sky.

Finally, I broke through the canopy and gave myself more space to dodge. Quickly, I made my way to the road. Before I even got there, I saw Tanizaki and Doppo being held up by tentacles. Now they've gone too damn far. I swooped down to the gap in the tentacles that were holding Doppo and Tanizaki. I heard the rush of air from a vine surely coming straight at me. Just as I got between the tentacles, I transformed into the animal with the biggest claws to ever walk the earth. A Thezinosaurous. A feathered dinosaur standing 16 feet tall at a length of 40 feet with 3-foot long sharp claws. The tentacles were easily turned to ribbons by my claws, making the two drop to the ground at the same time I landed.

The Guild had truly fucked up this time. They threatened the lives of people I care for and ones that didn't the power to fight back. I was pissed.

/no one's POV/

Everything stilled. No one dared to move even a millimeter with how heavy the air felt. They didn't even make a sound and all the animals in the forest had silenced.

A deep huff of air broke the silence. In her most advanced form yet, Emi turned her head to look at the men she wanted to ensue her rage on. Her green eyes were tinged with red as she snarled.

No one had ever seen her this serious before, not even her own flesh and blood. It made all of their blood run cold. Everyone, except for Lovecraft.

I was fixated on nothing but John's paler figure. I wasn't about to let him off scotfree after what he's done.

When I was about to attack, a truck rushed past me and into the pair. I looked at Tanizaki with slightly wide eyes before sighing slightly. Damn, if he hadn't done that, I might've tried to kill them...

"There's a train held up just down the hill. You three need to get on that train," Doppo said as he gave us a look. I didn't want to leave him alone, but I nodded and tried changing into a horse, but failed.

"Crap, outta sugar," I groaned, reaching into a pocket, but finding nothing but a hole.

"Get going!" Doppo yelled.

With regret and absolute anger, I started running slightly behind the girls. Oh, when I get my hands on that asswipe, he's gonna wish he was never born.

"Here!" Haruno exclaimed, tossing a bag of cotton candy at me.

"You're a lifesaver, Haruno!" I shoved a handful in my mouth before putting the bag into my pocket. Man, transforming into animals I don't know very much about takes way too much sugar... I turned into one of the easiest animals, one I've used for quiet a long time, an ostrich. They jumped on my back and I started running. The train was starting to take off and my sugar ran out again, making us all run for it.

Naomi got on the train first with me following directly behind. "Come on, Haruno!" Naomi shouted as we held out hands out. After a moment, she grabbed them and we pulled her up.

I let out a sigh of relief and sat down, hanging a leg over the edge. "So much candy gone to waste..." I pouted. If those bastards hurt Doppo, I swear to God-

"Let's go inside," Haruno suggested with a smile.

"Alright," I replied as I got up.

The train car was somewhat empty, so it was easy to find a seat. "Alright, we should be safe here for now," Naomi said as I took a seat. A kid was walking down the isle. They looked rather unique; bi-colored dark brown and white hair, a cute outfit, oddly shaped eyes, and a creepy doll with a similar outfit.

"Thank goodness," Haruno sighed in relief. "Oh! I'm sorry..." she said after the kid bumped into them.

They stopped and turned around in an... unsettling manner. "Did you say sorry?" Then he smiled. "I should apologize as well. Are you hurt?"

~Man, I can't believe I'm already halfway caught up with the anime. I know this is a bit shorter than I usually like to make chapters, but I thought that was a good stopping point for now. Anyway, see you all in the next chapter! :)~
