I woke up to the sound of the annoying dragon getting out of bed.

'The one bad about sensitive hearing...' I thought to myself as I sat up and rubbed my eyes. I looked around to see a clock that read 6:30.

*Yawn* "Is this really the time we're supposed to get up?"

"Yes. Weren't you told anything," he stated more than asked, already annoyed.

"No, I was not," I simply replied before I stood up and stretched.

I then went into the bathroom and shut the door. I looked into the mirror to see that, as usual, I didn't have much of a bed-head. I brushed my hair before brushing my teeth. When I was done with that, I grabbed a white dress shirt and pants the same color as the coat I got last night.

I left the bathroom and put on my coat before grabbing some gummy worms. I sat cross-legged on my bed and felt Akutagawa stare at what I was eating.

"Don't give me that look. I need sugar," I plainly said without looking at him.

After I finished the bag I put it in the trashcan as Dazai came in, glaring at me.

"Didn't you ever learn to eat healthily first."

"Yeah, but I don't know when training is going to start. I need sugar for my ability to work," I bluntly responded.

He just told us to follow him and we both did so. Dazai was in the front, with me following, and Akutagawa a bit behind me.

As we walked, I made sure to memorize the path and after a while, we got into a bigger room that looked like a warehouse. In the middle was a guy that was barely taller than me. He had ginger hair, wore a black hat, and a black coat draped over his shoulders. I recognized him as Chuuya Nakahara, or as some animals called him, Arahabaki.

"Oi, Dazai, what took so long?!" He yelled.

I stuck my hands in my pockets as we walked over.

"You're taking Emi. She's new so show her the ropes. I'll be training Akutagawa," Dazai said before taking the dragon to a different part of the warehouse, out of my sight.

"Why do I have to train a kid like you..." He sighed.

"If I didn't know better, I'd think that you were my age," I said, which looked like it hit a little nerve. "But I already know that you're 18, Chuuya Nakahara."

"You sure talk a lot for a pipsqueak brat," he gritted his teeth.

"Look who's talking. I still have a few years to grow." I had a bit of a smirk by now, getting into my bad habit, making his eye twitch.

"You're either really stupid or too confident for your own good."

"I get that a lot."

"Tch. Whatever. I won't use my ability so I can see how you are with hand-to-hand."

I shrugged and said, "I'll fight your style then."

"And what would that be?" He questioned, clearly annoyed.

"Hands in pockets, of course," I answered with another smirk.

He went for a kick to my head and I ducked before sweeping my leg at his feet, to which he dodged. He went for another kick to my abdomen. I dodged and got behind him and went for a kick to his side. But, he blocked and I quickly got back.

"You're decent enough, I guess. Try coming at me with your ability," he said.

I complied and turned into a pygmy jerboa.
