I was lucky. I got away from the car crash with a couple of bruises and was the one to call the ambulance. Dazai and Ango though? They're hospitalized for a while, Ango being in the worst condition. It's been a week since the incident and Atushi and Kyoka are missing.

"Guys, there's trouble!" Tanizaki exclaimed.

My phone rang as he started telling everyone the situation. I answered it without looking at the number. "Hello?"

"Hey, Emi," Dazai's voice sounded. "I'm going to need you and the others to meet up with me. I'll send you the location."

"Okay, sounds good." I hung up the phone and told the others.

"Looks like they did it," I muttered at the sight of the pink smoke engulfing the city.  Dazai had taken care of the doll after Atsushi got it out of their ship and all he needed me to do was watch the entrance of a subway station to make sure no one from the Guild entered. Soon enough, he came with Atsushi leaning on his shoulder. "Good job, guys," I said as they made their way in.

With how things have been going, there's no chance that we'll win. We need a better way to proceed with this conflict.

"... So, I have an idea of what to do," Atsushi said, catching my attention. "I know it might sound out of the question to everyone else, but to me... right to my core, my blood, and soul... I feel it's the only right answer."

"What's your idea?" Dazai and I asked.

"An alliance. With the most powerful group in Yokohama... And they're fighting to defend this city. I can't think of a better organization to help us with this fight against the Guild."

"And which organization is that?" Dazai asked as I got a feeling of slight dread. "The Port Mafia."

"I was afraid you would say that," I sighed.

"I reeeeaaaly don't feel like working..." Dazai complained from the couch.

"Me neitherrrr..." I resounded as I sat upside down in one of the chairs.

"Are you two seriously going to mope around like this the whole morning?" Doppo asked.

"Any other time I'd be up for having this conversation with you, but not now, please..." Dazai groaned in response.

"What happened to the young hero who helped save this town from the brink of destruction?"

He turned his head. "The boss has me lined up for this new job and I don't wanna."

"Is that the same one Atsushi and the boss were talking about yesterday?"

"Correct," the boss confirmed, making the three of us straighten up. I was still sitting upside down though, albeit in a neater manner than what I had been.

"Good morning, Sir," Doppo said.

"Dazai, Emi, what is the status of that meeting with the Port Mafia?" he asked, making Doppo confused.

"We've made the arrangements," we responded as I finally sat upright.

"Do you think their boss will come?"

"I'm positive," Dazai replied.

"It's the perfect opportunity for him to kill you after all," I added.

He lowered his head. "I'd prefer that to having bloodshed amongst our people," he said as he walked away.

"Hey, you two... WHAT'S THIS SECRET MEETING WITH THE PORT MAFIA ALL ABOUT?!" he exclaimed.
