Every memory of looking out the back door,
I had the photo album spread out on my bedroom floor,
It's hard to say it, time to say it
Goodbye, goodbye

Every memory of walking out the front door,
I found the photo of the friend I was looking for,
It's hard to say it, time to say it
Goodbye, goodbye

"Mr. Pale, Elemental Master of Light, versus Shade, Elemental Master of Shadow. Fight!"

Despite the fact that I wasn't really paying attention to this mornings match, I knew that it would be interesting to watch purely based off of their elements. They were complete opposites of each other.

Despite that, I found myself twiddling my thumbs and bouncing my leg as if I was a box of anxiety that was about to burst. Only I wasn't sure what I was supposed to be anxious about.

Maybe it was the fact that I had to take Camille and Tox's powers away from them last night. Or maybe it was because the closer we got to the end of the tournament, the further away we got to defeating Chen. And the further my memories got from being in my grasp. That definitely scared me if nothing else.

Ever since the Ninja's alliance had formed last night, we had managed to all bundle up in the same bleaches as one another. On one side Neuro sat, entertained by both the outdoor arena and the people fighting in it. Lloyd happened to be on my other side and every time I glanced up at him, I noticed that he was talking to his dad.

I figured it wasn't intentional, but I would've liked to be able to talk to someone to calm my anxious habits. And it's not like I could talk to Skylor, she was busy teasing and getting flirted with by Kai. Man I wish I could just push their heads together so they'd kiss already. This was the most elongated slow burn I've ever witnessed and I wanted to gauge my eyes out.

Jay and Turner matched each other well. It was like a chatter box competition between the two of them. It was amusing to overhear but I was also curious about how they found so much to talk about.

The only person who wasn't talking was Neuro, but besides Chen he was the only one watching the match. So that gave me a whole lot of not much to do in the mean time.

Halfway through the match however, I decided that I needed a break and slipped my way out and found refuge on the top of one of the walls that surrounded and guarded Chen's palace.

"I imagine that the coastal air must act like a purifier for you."

Turning around, I noticed that Sensei Garmadon had made his way up here as well, leaving the match to follow me.

"A little, yeah." I agreed quietly, swinging my legs to sit on the edge of the wall that guarded in whoever was at the top, which happened to be myself and Garmadon.

Without another word, the Sensei sat beside me, keeping a respectful distance but also being close enough that he could provide comfort and stop my thumbs from twiddling.

"Lloyd told me that Chen has your memories locked in his staff, much like the other Elemental powers." Garmadon noticed to which I cringed ever so slightly. I didn't realise that that was something to be shared with his father.

"Who else has he told?"

"Just me." He assured, his gaze seemingly distracted at the ocean only a couple meters away from us. It would be so easy to go swimming right now. For once it wasn't raining and the weather was rather warm. Not enough to sweat and probably not enough to be swimming in a cold ocean, but enough that it made you want to do it anyway.
