1. Encounter

Asher's Pov.

Do you know the feeling when you're excited for no reason.
I've been going to this school for half a year and this unexplained feeling was always with me.
Even though I'm attending school not for the education, as my porpose for the last three hundred years been finding my mate all over the globe, I've never had such connection to a place.
When I arrived I was sure this was it. She will be here... but now six months later and still nothing.

"Quit whining Ash, everyday for six months I've listened to this, you and I both know that if we have to wait even a thousand years we will.."

"Haaa!!! You're right Blaze but I'm starting to think that I'm crazy." I said as I moved my motorcycle out of the garage and started up the engine. "We've been here before 20 years ago, but then I didn't feel like this and now... I just..  had enough of waiting."

"Bahh!! What does that even mean??!! Literally father had to wait for multiple millennia to meet our mother, but nooo... you had enough after three centuries!!! Are you joking!??" Blaze yelled in my head. "You should shut the f* up and move or we'll be late."

'Yey!! Another boring day of school... ' I thought as we went on our way.

/Creekwood High parking lot/

It was already busy in front of the school building as the students started to arrive.
I look at my watch after I pull in my usual spot. 7:52 still got 8 minutes before the bell.
Some of the cheerleaders and basketball players or otherwise known, popular kids were still outside as if waiting for someone, but I didn't care to stay, like some to find out who will start their semester half a year later.

Oh yeah I almost forgotten, in Creekwood High everyone is a wolf. Obviously they don't know that I'm a Lycan as I keep my scent hidden at all times, not just at school. Figured I will leave eventually, like from everywhere I've been...
Anyway, like I said everyone is a werewolf even the teachers, and almost everybody is in the same pack. Obviously I'm an exception and there are four or five wolves who came from a different pack, given it's not as big as the Rose Pack so they don't have an entire school for themselves.

After grabbing my biology book I walk to the classroom which is more of a lab than anything. I find my seat in the back and plop down, putting in my earbuds and ignoring everything and everyone.
Yeah if you haven't guessed already I'm not really social, but I like it this way.
It's not like people don't notice me, hell I'm in the basketball team and all, it's just that they think that I'm a lone wolf, not knowing I have my own pack being an Alfa myself, but that's a story for later.

The bell rings and the teacher walks in. More than half of the class is nowhere to be seen, probably still standing outside, but Mrs. Lewis just shrugs and starts the lesson not bothering telling me to put away my buds.
She and some of the teachers know me from before, probably guessed that I'm not a normal werewolf so to say, if there is such a thing. Anyway I just slipped them a note from the principal, an old friend, and they mostly ignore me, thankfully.

The class goes on and I'm fully focused on my book, Romeo and Juliet, yeah it's a classic and cliche, but I've been reading it since I can read, most likely knowing the whole thing by heart at this point... when suddenly my blood starts to boil and my heart begins to tremble.

"Asher what is this??!! If this doesn't stop I'm gonna lose it, and then you'll lose it!!!" Blaze questions in my head but I don't know what's happening.
I look around trying to sense if there is danger near us, but then it hits me. That havenly scent!!!

I let out a loud growl as I abruptly stand up, chair going down and my book on the floor, now all eyes are on me. They don't know what's going on as I try to hold back Blaze who's loosing it.

"SHE'S HERE!! SHE'S HERE!!" He shouts, and the door opens.

She walks in and our eyes meet. And as I stare at her amber eyes, I know... that she is my mate.
