4. Getting to know her

Asher's Pov.

"Nice to meet you too, I also waited for you... two, no two and a half years so that's that." Sam says and it makes me smile, a bitter one.

"That means you're nineteen, soon twenty?"
"Indeed! You?" She asks to which I just sigh. "First I must ask if you know what a Lycan is?"

"A lycan? That a myth, a story to pups, lycans don't exist." She shakes her head not understanding the sudden topic change.
"Can you tell me the story then?" I question to which she quirks a brow. "Just indulge me, please?"

"Okey but I still don't get why this is so important. Anyway... So I guess it goes like this: There was this really old vampire dude called Alexos or something. "

"Hah!" I laugh but quickly apologize and let her continue.

"Like I was saying, this vampire's mate was a wolf and after centuries together she got pregnant, gave birth to a hybrid also known as a lycan, thought to be the most powerful creatures on the planet, but unfortunately the mother died leaving the vampire and the lycan child. I think that's the gist of it. Now can you tell me why this was necessary?" She turns to me.

"Much as I like to say it was just to hear your mezmorizing voice, it is quite important." She blushes and I clear my throat and continue half smiling.

"That old vampire dude, as you put it, is actually called Alexander Ross Dracula. He is in fact my father." I say and she stares wide-eyed.

"Wait but that would mean you're a.. that you're a Lycan!!!" She bursts out.

"That I am. It also means I'm immortal." I say biting my lower lip.

"What??!!" She whisper-yells, and I see on her face when she realizes, why was the story necessary. "H.. how old are you?" Finally she questions still shocked.

"Humm... I turned three hundred and twenty-six this January." Opening her mouth she doesn't say anything her eyes still wide being baffled.

"What? Can't tell me I don't look absolutely great for my age!" I joke and this makes her giggle.
"But yeah... I waited for you a long time, and you can't imagine how happy I am right now." I whisper leaning to her ear.

"Enough of the heavy stuff, instead tell me about your self." I breathe.

"Sure." Smiling she begins talking about what she likes what makes her go bonkers and how hard it was for her being apart from her friends, and the happiness she felt seeing them again.

"And then Alice told us to go in, and there you were, and I was already drowning in the most beautiful blue I ever seen." She says and I can't help but give a peck to her lips.
"After school I want you to come over and meet my parents" Jabbering she looks into my eyes expectantly.
"Whatever you want love."

I tell her about my pack and that I'm also an Alfa just like my mother was, and I even told her that she would become immortal after the marking, but I didn't go into to much detail as somebody walked in interrupting us.

"Guess you're questions have to wait, we should go back, I don't want you to miss the lessons. Let's continue after the classes." I say and hold her hand, fingers interlocking as we go out and walk to the Math classroom. Thankfully we have almost all the same schedule.

Stepping in the room everyone looks at us, jaws dropping and all. Guess that's happens when your mate is their future Alfa.

Putting my hand around Sam's waist possessively I lead her to her friends knowing she would like to be around them.

"Asher! I must say I didn't see this coming, not from you and neither from Sam." Jason looks at me and offers me his hand to shake, an apology for interrupting our first meeting.
"Jason." I say a bit deep, as warning, but shake his hand.
Sitting down I pull Sam on my lap and rest my head on her shoulder.

"Sooo Sammy found her mate!!!" Taylor screams and goes to hug Sam but I pull her away not allowing the hug. "Dude chill out, I already have my mate so can you give back my bestie??!!" This earns a giggle from Sam and she looks at me, asking to let her go so she can stand.
"I'm not going anywhere." She tells me and I know, but decide to make it hard.
"She had years and years hugging you, while I was alone 'cuz nobody hugged me." I pout and this makes her laugh.

"Well it's true but we'll have forever and more to hug, so let me be with my friends?" She kisses my cheek and stands up feeling that I let her go.

Sam's at the other side of the room talking to Taylor and Alice, me Jason and Greg still sitting at the table, me not taking my eyes off of her.

"Ha! It's funny seeing you like this." Greg comments. "Like what?" Not turning I ask. "You always had this I don't want your BS vibe, even in the court during games, but now you're just another lovesick guy.

"Girl." I correct and I can hear from his and Jason's loud ghasp they are taken aback.

"Wait, your a girl??!!" Greg shouts and now everyone is looking at me shocked.

"Yeah, it is actually quite disappointing that nobody ever asked and just assumed I was a guy."
"But you smell like a male wolf!"
"Humm.."
"And your in the male basketball team!!!" Jason adds. "I saw you shirtless, how is that, that you don't have tits??!!

"Just don't have them. Get over it it's not like this will change anything, I been like this forever so get used to it." I end the conversation seeing the teacher walk in.

/Parking lot/

After school.

Sam's on her phone talking to her mom.
"Yes mom, I found her! No it's not a guy!!! I know I said I was bisexual, but that was mainly because of Amber. Thanks!! Oh, you'll don't have to! She will bring me home. Yes you can meet her, that's why I invited her to dinner. Okey! Bye! Love you!" She hungs up and walks to my bike.

"Ready?"
"Yes! I can't wait for you to get to know them." "Put this on." I hand her my helmet. "Really?" "Indeed! I'm not gonna risk it even if it's silly." I tell her and rev the engine. Her hand sliding around me, and I turn to face her.

"Oh yeah, I almost forgot. About meeting your parents, it may not be like how you imagined, but it will surely be interesting." I say mysteriously and let go of the brake.
