15. Family relations

Asher's Pov.

"Brat just see how I beat you up when I next see you! And don't you dare call me boss again! Call me..." I said but he hung up before I could finish my sentence.

"Argh!! I swear this kid gonna make me go crazy sometime." I sigh and look at Sam who's laying on the couch, half naked.

I turn away and try to find her shirt because I can feel my blood pumping, and the desire that just went away coming back.

I pass her the clothes and sit down besides her putting her legs on my lap while she dresses.
"I'm sorry." I say, or more like whisper to her.

She comes closer, hugging me from the side and kissing my cheek.

"I know." Is all she says but with a smile on her face. "We should really watch out till nex Friday."

"I can't even satisfy you!" I complain feeling like a failure.

"Don't think like that! If we continued and you marked me you would've felt guilty and I don't want you to feel that way. I understand. Let's just calm down a little and tell me who is this saviour of ours." she comforts me and wraps her hands around my neck pulling herself into my lap.

"Humm.. it was my Beta, Nathan. He also found his mate. He will be back at our pack next Wednesday." I explain.

"Wait, but why is he a kid? Isn't he an adult if he has a mate?" she questions and starts to play with my hair.

"Well compared to me he's a kid, but like I said he's also a Lycan. I think he will be fifty seven this year. Oh! And he's my nephew." I reply.

"What?! You have a nephew?! I thought you said you didn't have any siblings?" she sits up a bit from the new information.

"Technically we have a nephew." I empathize than continue. "And my brother, well he's not my brother from the same mother... How should I explain this? " I mumble to my self.
"You know how vampire bloodlines are created? And how said bloodlines are considered a vampire's family?" I question and Sam's nodding.

"Well my father's first child is my brother. He was sired by him more than five thousand years ago, before he even met my mother." I tell her. " He's called Mark Leonard Ross because vampires carry their sires middle name as their family names. This way you can track back each end every vampire that was created back to the original three born vampires. But the main point is that my brother's child is also a Lycan because his mate is a wolf as well." I finish explaining.

Sam didn't respond, silently contemplating on what was just said.
Sitting in my lap sideways her head on my shoulder she was playing with the strings of my hoodie.

"Does that mean you have other siblings too?" She finally asks.

"No. My father never sired a vampire again and he only had me with my mother. I know my mother was pregnant, multiple times even before me, but the circumstances were different back than and they lost the babies before they were born." I tell her.

"Than does your brother have any other children?"

"Yeah he has one, Heron Claus Leonard, but I don't really see him that often, because they work with him and my father mostly and after mother died we just grew apart. My father brooding most of the time and other members of our bloodline all feeling his sorrow, it became hard for me to approach them. It's not like we have a bad relationship but I think I remind them of her too much." I say and hug her a bit more tightly and she does the same.

"I would've loved to meet her." she says and this brings a smile to my lips.

"I'm sure she would've loved you. " I tell her cupping her face with my hands and giving her a slow kiss.

"What about your uncle and aunt?" she jumps a bit with curiosity and this makes me chuckle.

"It's kind of fascinating actually. My aunty Isabella, well her mate is a vampire and most of the vamps consider her to be the queen of all vampires because she's the one who sired them mostly. And my uncle... well, he was a really entitled ass who used humans as he pleased untill he found out that one of them is his actual mate. From than on he became one of the leading figures in creature society who protects the humans. If I'm not mistaken he is an important member of the WHO, and other medical communities." I recall.

"Shit! Are all of your family do something meaningful and have high social standing?" Sam looks at me in awe.

"Haha!! Yeah! But I think it's a vampire thing... they had so much time, it would be a wonder if they didn't accomplish anything during all of it." I laugh at how sweet she is. I like that she's interested in my family, so I answer all of her questions.

"What about your father? What is he like?" she sits up and looks me in the eye, and I can feel that she's nervous, as if my father wouldn't accept her.

"No worries, love! My father will love you as his daughter no matter what, so don't think to much. As for what's he like... I mean since I was born he had this inferiority complex that he has to be better than me, which he isn't by the way, but all my childhood and even after that we were always competing. Like it's not even on serious stuff, but for example who could run across faster on the Atlantic Ocean, who can climb the Everest with the least amount of jumps... Or even on just who could eat ice cream faster... When mother was around she contained him a bit but after, it was a daily occurrence that we were at each other." I sigh as I remember.

"Nowadays I don't see him that much 'cuz he buried him self with work at his companies, and I was moving around so often. We do have a family dinner of sorts every year, but other than that I didn't see him." I say and start to stand up looking at the clock.

"Hope I can meet them soon..." she says. "Also kinda wanna hear about your embarrassing childhood stories." she comments kissing my cheek and runs away to the upper floor.

"She's perfect." Blaze cuts in and I just nod to myself.

"Indeed she is!"
