12. Pack talk 1

Asher's Pov.

At the entrance of the school me and Sam stood surrounded by a bunch of kids and teachers. I could see on their faces the anticipation and all that it meant for them that I was by her side.

"Yeah sure, cuz' they don't know yet that you're going to mess with them."  Blaze commented.

"Let's get started, shall we?" I said to him in my head.
"Shure, but don't whine after they beat you up!" he just had to say it....

As we stood more and more people began to ask questions and throw them at us, like:

"Are you guys really mates?"

"Sam, who is he? Or she?" well this guy wasn't very well informed, or he was blind.

"Why didn't you mark each other??!!"

"Asher are you going to be our Luna?" one asked and this was what I was waiting for.

"No. I will never be your Luna." I said not loudly but whit enough volume for all of them to hear.
What came after was a sight to behold I must say.
First it was surprise on their faces which turned into confusion than to denial and finally to anger.
I could feel Sam trying to hold back her laughter and she managed to put on her poker face, slightly even smiling to add a bit more perplexity to the mixture.

And so with absolute fury came the next round of questions.

"How could you say that?!!"

"How can you do that to Sam!!?"

"Weren't you guys mates?!!"

"Are you refusing the bond??!!"

And then Jason and Sam's other friends came to the front like a storm fuming with anger and betrayal, he even pushed me a little before starting to spit hate at me.
"What is your problem??!!! No!! How can you even do this to her??!! Do you know what it means to deny one's mate?!!! Have you lost your mind!!??" he went on and on while Alice and Taylor was already with Sam trying to get something out of her about what was going on.

And now it was Greg's turn. He also bumped into me, harder than Jason and even punched me in the face which I suppose hurt him more than he thought it would because he was now shaking his hand as he was interrogating me.
"Why?!! Huh??! You piece of crap what have you done??!! Our Sammy deserves much better than you mutt!!" he shouted into my face.

And so I calmly looked at Sam who was now worried about me getting punched but otherwise also seen what we wanted to see. I squeezed her hand as a sign that I'm gonna stop this and she nodded in agreement. I turned back and released my alfa scent as I shouted now with my alfa tone.

"Enough!!" è voilà, silence was all that was left.

Heads lowered and no sounds except for breathing and the pumping of hearts. Some of them were even shaking in fear not knowing what was happening. And now I just wanted to stop their misery.

"I think you all misunderstood, so I will refrase my sentence. I will not be your Luna, because I will be your Alpha. As it is tradition for the stronger one of the mated pair to be the Alpha I will be the one to take up that position." I said still in my alfa tone, the others quiet as a corpse. Sam having her arms around mine's nodding with approval.

"As for this bit of a play I must apologize to you all. I know that trust and respect is not given but earned and before I even tried to act as your future leader and start to earn those, I had to see how you guys would have reacted if someone hurt Sam, even if it was me... which I hope will never happen in the future." I finished and retracted my scent and turned my tone to normal.

Now everyone looking at me than at Sam back and forth, again and again. Seeing the puzzlement, and here and there even embarrassment on them, especially on Greg's face which was red as a beetroot. I think he even mumbled a sorry.
And to break the silence Sam came to the rescue.

"Okey everyone let's get into the building and you can continue with the questions inside the gym where we can all sit and be more civilized." she said and the crowd parted slowly before us.

/Creekwood High Gym/

Sam's Pov.

Finally seeing everybody sitting in the school gym we came to the front ready for the follow-ups. It surprised me that they gave such a reaction but all is well and Asher says her face doesn't hurt one bit, and that we should probably check Greg out if he's ok.

Asher steps out still holding my hand and starts to speak.

"You okey Greg?" she asks first to which a low reply came.

"Fuck man you broke my hand..." and now everyone's looking at him.

"Humm... well technically you were the one that broke it... on my face." she commented and now the room is filled with laughter.

"Dude what are you even made of?! How can my hand be broken, that punch wasn't even that strong!"

"Well that happens if you try to hit an Alpha Lycan in the face." she says calmly and now came a another wave of bafflement. I didn't know she was just going to share it with them this easily and so soon.

"WTF!!?"

"Are my ears working correctly I swear she said Lycan, but can't be possible!?"

"What is a Lycan?"

"No way, they are just a myth... aren't they?"

They went on and on until Asher put up her hand, making them quiet.

"Humm... so, for those who don't know, a Lycan is a hybrid between a werewolf and a vampire. There aren't that many of us and most of them are in my pack, the Phantom Pack." she says and now I can't even expect any other facial expressions than that of surprise.

It is because we do know about the fabled Phantom Pack, said to be the most powerful werewolf pack there is in the world. But the thing is nobody ever seen them personally ever since the first rumors were heard about them three hundred years ago... wait oh okey, now I get it.

"Are you saying that you are the next Alpha of the Phantom Pack?" one guy in the back asks, and it makes me giggle.

"No, I'm saying that the Pack is mine." she correct and continues on. " Because my father is a vampire I'm immortal." she drops the big bomb and the reaction that comes after, well you know by now...

"So I'm saying the Phantom Pack which was created almost three centuries ago was created by me and is lead by me ever since." Asher finishes.
