13. Pack talk 2

Asher's Pov.

"So I'm saying the Phantom Pack which was created almost three centuries ago was created by me and is lead by me ever since." I say looking around, trying to make eye contact with each and every one of them.

"How old are you?" Jason asks, still a bit embarrassed for shouting at me.

"326. Next?" I point to one of the kids who for goddess knows why put up her hand.

"How can you be stronger than Sam? Her grandparents are Whiteback, the strongest kind of werewolves." she asks and this piques the interest of many.

"Humm.. well if it was any other Alpha or even just a 'normal' Lycan you would have been right." I start and now Sam also turns to me because I never told her about this. " You see Sam is special. She is the second child of your current pack, her sister was the one who was born as the next Alpha, the heir in other words. But even though you know this fact neither one of you ever questioned why she is also an Alpha and why her parents choose her to be the next leader." I say and see it in their eyes as they realise this anomaly.

"Asher what are you talking about?" Sam tugs the hem of my hoodie.

"Sam, you are what we call a True Alpha." I turn to face her and look into her beautiful amber orbs. "You're one of a kind, one in a million... My father said there is only one True Alpha in each millennium. You love, are truly a wonder." I say to her and gave her a peck on the lips.

"A True Alpha? I never heard of it?" she whispers to me and I smirk at how she's looking at herself trying to see what it means.

"Love, it's not something on the outside, it's deep inside your heart. I think when Natalie left and the rest of the pack didn't have their next leader with them you subconsciously took that position on your self and made your self an Alpha. That is what it means, choosing to be there for them, even if you don't have to." I explain and now she's hugging me and tearing up a bit. Yeah... realising that your a True Alpha, I guess it is emotional.

"Wow Sam! You're awesome!"

"Yeah girl, always knew you were special!"

"How cool is that our next Luna is a True Alpha! Just saying it makes me go wild!!"

"Yeah it's really awesome and all, but than why is it that you are stronger than her? You just said that even if it's a Lycan she would be the Alpha." the same girl from before asks and this makes them all stop.

"Oh? What is your name?" I question.

"Heather Oakland" she raises her brows.

"Well Heather, your questions are really on point." I compliment and continue with the answer. "As I said before even if it is a normal Lycan than she would be the Alpha, but that is not the case with me."

"What do you mean? Are you not a typical Lycan?" Heather asks again.

"Yes that's exactly what I'm saying. You see my father is not just any vampire but one of the first three, a born vampire." I state and now everyone is just mind-blown.

"Is he that old Dracula guy?" someone shouts.

"No, I mean he is a Dracula but not that one... FYI he has an older brother who does live in Transylvania." I tell them. After they ask this and that about my pack until we change our topic back to me and Sam.

"Why didn't you guys mark each other?" comes the question again, and now Sam is the one answering.

"We decided to wait a couple of days until next Friday, just to get to know one another and because me changing into a Lycan is easier during the heat cycle." she explains all she learnt from me and tells them how it will go, the pain and so on.

The time flies as we discuss everything about my pack and our marking and I just remember that we didn't tell them about Natalie, so I mind link to Sam.

"You should tell them about Natalie coming home." it's the first time for us using mind link in human form but it's just as strong as last night so I relax seeing Sam turning to me with suprise. Not sure if it's because she totally forgot her sister or because of the link.

"Guys we have good news for you, and I almost forgot."

"Are you pregnant?" someone shouts and I just face palm myself, seeing Sam's face going red from the corner of my eyes.

"They both women! You idiot!" Taylor shouts back and we are laughing again.
Sam still being shy I continue.

"Okey, guys it's about Natalie. She's coming home this Saturday, and we are planning a get together at the pack house. I will cook for you all. And I hope I can get to know all of you there. John and Sarah probably going to invite the whole pack but I just wanted to let you all know." I tell them and they all jumping from happiness and joy.

The rest of the day goes by quickly as we talked for a long time, missing most of the lessons.

/Math Classroom/

Finishing our last period Blaze starts to act up.

"Shit Asher we didn't went for a hunt in almost ten days. My instincts are starting to kick in, so you better find some blood or drink the emergency supply."

"Humm..."

And so I find my special thermal case, in my bag, which contains human blood, I know I know, but it is an emergency so I need the strong stuff. As I'm doing this Sam also realised something is wrong with me so she comes back from Alice's and Tyler's side.

"What's wrong with you and what are you holding?" she takes my hand worried.

"No worries, but because of our meeting yesterday I didn't go to hunt as planned and my thirst is making Blaze agitated. I'm just gonna drink this." I say and open up the flask.
Side note, should have known that opening a bottle filled with human blood was not low key in a school full of werewolves.

Anyways with Sam looking at me weirdly and the rest with interest, while I chug down half a liter of human blood.
"I thought you just need animal blood?" she ask after I'm finished and retract my fangs. They instinctively came out.

"Yeah but I haven't drank for ten days, I needed something that would quench the thirst fully, I only dink it if I really have to." I say putting away all the stuff, and getting ready to go home.

"Does it taste different?" she asks.

"Humm.. I guess. But it's not really the taste for me, more like if I drink animal blood I have to do it regularly, but with human blood I can probably stretch it to half a month without having to have to drink again. But because Blaze likes the regularity of hunting I don't really drink human blood that much." I tell her on our way outside, and getting on the bike.

"I see, it's fascinating that you can digest vampire, werewolf and even human food." she comments.

"Humm... Yeah you can examine this fine specimen throughoutly after we are back at home." I say to her and realise the brakes.
