𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐅𝐢𝐯𝐞: 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐍𝐢𝐧𝐚 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭

Owens takes El to Nevada, where she's forced to confront her past, while the Hawkins kids comb a crumbling house for clues. Vecna claims another victim.

~Steve's P.O.V~

After Max calms down, the night approaches. I notice it was too quiet. I look over towards the cars and see Nate holding an unconscious Y/N. I run over him and panic. "Whoa, whoa, wh-what happened to Y/N!?"

"She-she-she got kicked out of her mind or something, by Vecna and she felt dizzy and her ears and nose were bleeding."

I grab Y/N from Nate and carry her bridal style. I sit on the grass and hold her hand. Nate follows me and I tear up.

"Y/N, Y/N baby it's me. It's Steve. Please, please wake up for me... I got you, Y/N. I'm-I'm right here." I look up at Nate for guidance. He says, "I checked her pulse and it was fine, but it felt like she hasn't experienced whatever made her pass out."

Y/N jolts up from her unconsciousness and I feel her body is still shaking. Without hesitation, Y/N hugs me tight and cries into my chest.

I rub her back in comfort and whisper, "It's okay, Y/N. I got you, Max is okay."

"Where is she?" Y/N asks. I look over my shoulder and see the three kids look at us. Y/N gets up from her spot and goes to Max.

She stands in front of her before hugging Max. Y/N tears up and the two hug.

~3rd Person P.O.V~

After Max was more calm, Dustin gets in contact with Nancy and Robin to meet up at the Wheeler residence. Max had her headphones on 24/7 because the lead that Nancy and Robin got was a success. They learned that someone's favorite song helped Vecna victims survive. Music.

Kate Bush's Running Up That Hill saved Max. Y/N was mad at herself for losing in the void. Something was missing when she tried to save Max. A sensory deprivation tank. Y/N did not know this at the time, but she couldn't blame herself because she was new to telepathy and telekinesis.

Again, Steve, Robin, Y/N, Nate, Max, Lucas, and Dustin slept in the basement after they discussed what happened with Nancy and Robin. The next day, everyone is seen napping, besides Y/N and Max. They were upstairs coloring with Holly because Max couldn't get Vecna's 'lair' out of her head.

Same with Y/N. Y/N taps on Max's shoulder and she moves one side of her headphone. "I'm sorry I couldn't do anything, Max." "It's okay, but it felt like something was holding your powers back."

Y/N nods her head and finishes coloring the paper with a red crayon. "I felt it too. But Nancy and Robin found another way. And thank God for that." Y/N says. They both keep coloring until Y/N turns around to see Nancy and Dustin panicked. Mrs. Wheeler greets them. "Morning, guys. Everything okay?"

Nancy nods her head. "Yeah. Yeah, everything's okay." Max turns around and Y/N walks up to Dustin to hug her brother. She whispers, "How was the nap?" They both giggle.

"I think it's so sweet that you guys are sticking together like this." Mrs. Wheeler comments. "Could try sticking together at a different house for a change." Dustin gives a look to Mr. Wheeler and Mrs. Wheeler turns to the two siblings. "You know you both are welcome here anytime."

Y/N smiles and sits back down at her spot to finish coloring. Nancy sees the drawings and is intrigued. Max pauses her music and takes off her headphones. "Hey." she says. "Hey. You okay?"

Nancy looks over at Max and I try to touch up some of the other drawings. "Just couldn't sleep. People kept blasting music in my ears, for some reason. But Holly let Y/N and I borrow some of her crayons. We've been having a fun morning, right, Holly?"
