I would really have loved to say that the sun was tickling me awake from outside. That the sun was damped and felt comforting and wonderful on my skin, letting my eyes slowly flutter open.
That would have been a big fat lie, tough.
I felt heat. All over me. I felt sticky. Terribly sticky. I felt the sun practically burning trough my skin, not only covering me in sweat, but feeling terrible on me as well. I wanted to sink into a tub of ice. A dream that would have been.
My eyes didn't flutter open. Not slowly. Not in any kind of way. When I opened them, I immediately squinted at this unbelievably bright light shining trough the window and not only on me but on Asha too.
This stupid light and heat already disturbed my sleep. Hopefully It didn't wake Asha too.
The very fact that I was almost laying fully on top of Asha; with both his arms wrapped around my torso and both my arms wrapped around his neck, in this horrible heat, did. not. help.
I love you, sun. But all I want you to do right now is f-
"Elany?" A raspy mumble sounded from underneath me. I looked at him, only to see his face looking more sweaty than mine had felt right now to my surprise.
When I moved to get off him, his arm came around my waist, pulling me back.
"Don't" He whispered.
"It's so hot"
Frustration.
Anger. Towards the sun.
"I'll still hold you"
"But you're so warm!"
He chuckled into my shoulder.
I tried to push him away. The heat was unbearable.
"Let me go!" I laughed.
"Nope" He grinned.
"Let go of me!"
"Never"
"Asha, I'm going to kick you"
"I'll still love you"
"I'm being serious"
"So am I"
And so I did it. I kicked him hard in the leg from under the blanket and as he started groaning loudly, I as quick as possible jumped out of the bed.
Yet, my so excellent plan immediately failed.
From behind, I heard him get out of our bed and stomp towards me. I started running.
I ran trough the house with my boyfriend chasing me. Then loud little barks tuned in and I couldn't keep my laughter in when Azy too started running after me.
"Azy, you traitor!" I called, as Asha loudly laughed at our dog beside him.
I sprinted but I was obviously not fast enough, because to my bad luck I felt Asha pulling me down to him in an unbelievably fast motion, making me land right on top of his chest. Not a second after, Azy came running up and started; licking both of us.
"Azy!" I tried to cover my face with my hands, when Asha only laughed at me.
Slowly he pulled them away, making his bright illuminated face appear right before me.
When Asha started taking my face into his hands, my breath hitched.
In a slow motion he leaned in. He looked me deep in the eye before connecting our lips.
Butterflies erupted inside me, just like it did the first time he'd kissed me. The memory of our first kiss made me melt into the kiss even more, when Asha's arms came around my waist to pull me even closer against him.
"Elany" He whispered before I opened my mouth and his tongue slid in. Here we stayed. Stayed and kissed and enjoyed the chirps of the birds outside.
