You weren't the richest person on the earth. Your family had a lot of debt because your father has a gambling addiction and he's always running away from home trying to escape loan sharks.

Your mother passed away so it's just you and your little sister at home the entire time. You barely have food to eat and are just getting by everyday. Your part time job is keeping you both from poverty.

Your life at school wasn't so easy either. People would constantly bully you for being poor. There were many girls who would target you because the Ayanagi club protected you all the time.

The Ayanagi club was a group of five boys who sang, danced, and acted. They always put together the most amazing plays and performances and were very rich and good looking.

They didn't like violence and bullying so whenever they saw it, they defended the victim. They often came to your aide, mostly Hoshitani Yuta. He was the leader of the group and your crush.

He was also in your class and very popular.He was friendly with everyone and never showed hostility towards anyone unless they deserved it. One day in class, some girls came up to you.

"You need to stop flirting with Yu-kun!"

Trying to process what she said, you blinked.

"Don't play dumb, we know you're trying to seduce him and the other Ayanagi boys. Don't think we don't know why they've been coming to help you."

You stood up, feeling brave. "They don't like violence, they're doing it to protect others!"

The girls scoffed and then laughed. "Look at her, trying to be bold."

"What're you girls doing? Still bullying (Y/N)?"

The girl turned around and batted her eyelashes at Hoshitani.

"No Yu-kun, we were just making conversation."

"I don't want to ever see you near her again, beat it!"

They squeal and run to their seats. Hoshitani smiles at you and sits down at his seat. You blush and sit down. You had to confess some day, but don't have the courage to do so.

You pushed your thoughts aside as the teacher walked in. You needed some courage somehow!

You made sure your sister got everything so sometimes her needs were fulfilled. One day, your class was getting new seats assigned. You got a seat in the back and Hoshitani was coincidentally your new desk partner.

Everyone was jealous of course, you could hear the girls whispering things. Having him sit next to you was a dream come true, but he always helped you and you always helped him. He was popular but definitely not the smartest in the class because that was you.

You offered to tutor him and he offered to pay you money to do projects and stuff for him. You agreed for the money and you had lots of money saved up. Your feelings for him grew stronger and you started to believe he liked you back.

One night, you came home late. You were hanging out with Hoshitani and his friends and Hoshitani decided to drop you off home.
