Ugawa Akira x Reader - Meetings

You ran as fast as your legs could carry you. You were late to meet someone and it didn't make you look like a good person. Once you reached the bar, you walked in to find no one in there besides a few regular customers and a pink haired bartender. Sighing, you sit down on the bar stool and look at your phone. You were definitely a couple minutes late. Was your date running late too?

"Excuse me miss, would you like something to drink?" The pink haired bartender approached you.

"I'll take a beer." He nods and you wait for your date to show. The bartender places the beer in front of you and you immediately start drinking it. after two glasses, a person runs into the bar. He spots you and slid in besides you.

"Hey, sorry about being late. Did you wait long?" You smile and shook your head.

"Glad you could make it." You and this guy have been on a couple dates here and there. His name was Terajima Morio. Your parents had set you up with him in thoughts of you two getting married. You weren't feeling too sure but he seemed like a great guy. The two of you began to drink a little more and talk. You found yourself laughing at his dumb joke.

At the same time, you felt someone staring at you. Every night you had drinks with your future suitor. You got to become close with the bartender too because you became a regular. His name was Ugawa Akira. He works part time at the bar and he's also going to university for acting and singing.

It's been almost a month since you started going out with Morio. He seemed like a great guy and your parents seem to be happy with the way things were going. One night you both met up at the bar and he felt more touchy than usual. You guys had a small meal and his hands wrapped around your waist.

"Morio-san, we're in public." You try pulling away but he pulls you in closer.

"It's okay, no one is looking over." He kisses you and you kiss back against your will. The more you were with this man; the more you realized he was not who he was.

Six months into the relationship, he started to heavily drink. He would show up to your place drunk and not care what you were doing. He was more aggressive than before. You felt something was wrong and you started to genuinely dislike him.

You were once again at the usual bar but this time alone. Sitting at the bar instead of a table or booth, you lay your head down sighing. "[L/N]-san, is something the matter?" The bartender spoke up as he placed your usual drink down in front off you. You smile and take the drink.

"A lot of things Ugawa-kun, I don't even know where to begin." You begin to tell him everything and he looks displeased.

"[L/N]-san he seems very fishy. He is obviously starting to show his true colors. I'm going to be honest I didn't like him the moment he step foot in here." He says and you laugh.

"Really?" The two of you continue to talk and have fun until you went home. As the days went by, you slowly started to fall in love with Ugawa. He was genuinely a great guy with an amazing personality and you loved that.

Morio started to notice something between you two and he started to change even more. He would get possessive and jealous real quick and had multiple times confronted you about it.

One night he started to hit you repeatedly and you ended up with tons of bruises all over your body. You lay on the ground helpless.

"Lay there like the slut you are. You think I wouldn't notice it, you flirting with-with that bastard of a bartender? You belong to me and you shouldn't even bat an eye at anyone else!"

You slowly got up and tried to leave the house but he stopped you and once you wrestled with him a little, you smashed his head with a vase and ran out the house. You ran as far as your legs could carry. You didn't look back even once.

You then bumped into someone. "[L/N]-san? Are you okay, what happened?!"

"Ugawa-kun, please don't take me back there..." You started to lose consciousness.

Ugawa took you to his place and tended to your wounds. He was angry that this was happening to you. He needed to call the police.

When you woke up, you were alone. Getting up, you looked around for Ugawa. Once you left the room, you found him sitting in the living room shirtless with a towel around his waist.

"Ugawa-kun...."

He gets up after hearing your weak voice and turns around.

"Are you okay? How are you feeling?" He walks you over to the couch.

"I'm fine, thanks for rescuing me."

"What did he do?"

"He got mad because I was spending all my time with you."

"So he got possessive. That bastard; did you know he was cheating on you? I saw him a couple times with a few girls and he even gave me hush money to not tell you but I obviously didn't take it."

"I'm scared he's going to do something." Ugawa then hugs you tightly.

"I won't let him."

You nod and kiss him unexpectedly. "I really like you Ugawa-kun."

He blushed red as a tomato but pulled you in closer and kissed back.

"I like you too."

The next couple days went by in a blue. You went to your parents and told them everything that happened and they instantly called off the engagement. They sued the Terajima family and Morio ended up going to jail for abusing you.

You and Ugawa started going out shortly after and your parents loved him. It's funny how life turns out. It all starts with meetings.
