Long story short, Jeongin's idea of resolving the argument definitely worked.
Both of them seemed to almost completely forget about the reason why they were kissing in the first place once Jeongin initiated his version of what a make-out was.
They simply laughed it off and Jeongin fell asleep with his arms wrapped around Chan's waist.
Chan, however, couldn't fall asleep near as easily despite the fact that it was nearly 4 am when the two had kissed.
He simply stared at Jeongin, unable to get rid of the small smile on his face as he replayed the dream-like scenario over and over again in his head.
He was so lost in thought that it surprised him when the younger's eyes fluttered open hours later which made him realize that the sun was already shining through into his room.
"Good morning baby," Jeongin mumbled with a yawn. It took everything in him to not pull him closer and cover his face with small kisses.
He thought that he would be used to the dumb nickname by now but either due to the fact that he hadn't heard it in a while or simply because it was something that he would never get used to, his face still flushed pink.
Even worse, his heart sped up, he couldn't stop himself from smiling at how happy he was to have Jeongin wake up beside him, and the urge to kiss him every two seconds was even stronger than it was previously.
Perhaps the kiss wasn't the best thing to have happened between them for the sake of Chan keeping his feelings a secret.
But it was too late and now Chan's little crush had quickly become way worse than he ever thought it would.
But if dating Jeongin with no feelings attached was the only way he would be able to kiss him again, he was perfectly okay with that...For now at least.
"Innie are you doing anything today?" He questioned with a smile as he brushed some of the younger's hair out of his face.
Jeongin looked at him, slightly shocked at how happy he could be so early in the morning while also trying to hide the bright pink that spread across his face due to the old Chan seeming to have reappeared.
"I umm- have to study for an English test but other than that...no. Why are you so happy?"
"Were you serious when you asked me if I wanted to replace Jisung?"
Jeongin started choking on air as he simply moved closer to Chan's chest again in order to hide the fact that he was flustered by the sudden question.
Then he quickly regained focus and shook it off once he came to the realization that Chan was probably joking.
"Are you that kiss deprived?" He questioned, assuming that he was only asking since he hadn't dated anyone in nearly three years.
"Maybe," Chan shrugged then placed a hand on the side of Jeongin's face, "but so are you obviously if you're already sad about Jisung having a crush."
"That's true I guess," he said with a sigh as he sat up and thought about it for a few minutes, occasionally looking at Chan but mainly looking around the room.
"Do you need me to kiss you again in order for you to make up your mind?"
"Gross," Jeongin shook his head.
"Says the one who sat on top of me and told me to show him what a kiss is."
"That was for science."
"Then I think we should retest the experiment to see if we get the same results."
"But- wouldn't things be awkward?"
"No. We'd still be friends like you and Jisung were and still are. We'd just kiss, right?"
"Well yeah, I guess so." He hesitantly agreed, wondering if it were a good idea or not. "Do you want me to uhh go over the rules?"
"You and Jisung had rules?"
"Mhm."
"Sure," Chan shrugged and waited for Jeognin to start speaking.
"Number one, no sleeping together. Well- this is fine but no sex which leads to rule two. No drinking alone together; if we're both gonna drunk then we need to be with other friends so we don't do anything dumb."
"You've drunken alcohol?!"
"Moving on."
"Jeongin-" he tried to start his parental lecture but immediately shut up once he felt a pair of lips against his for a few seconds.
"Rule three, no saying 'I love you,' that's a bit too intimate for a fake relationship type thing."
"Okay," Chan nodded and waited for him to continue.
"Four, we're obviously aloud to call it off whenever either of us wants to with no issues and neither of us can be mad. Six, no hickeys. Seven, we're allowed to use each other to make someone jealous but we have to tell each other beforehand about it."
"So if you liked someone and you wanted to use me to make them jealous, you would ask first?" Chan confirmed.
"Yup, and if you want to use me to make your crush in Australia mad then, just ask first."
"Got it," he mumbled in response.
"And lastly rule eight," he stopped and kissed the older's forehead, of course causing him to blush at the sudden cute action, "don't catch feelings."
"I would never."
"Neither would I."
"Cool," Chan nodded, trying to hide his smile at the thought of now taking Jisung's place. He was going to get to be the one with Jeongin's arms wrapped around him. He was going to get to kiss him whenever he felt like it and receive the majority of his attention.
However, that also meant that he was going to end up being in the same situation as Jeongin was in last night once the younger finds someone he actually has feelings for and calls the whole thing off.
Which means it could last a few months or it could only last a few weeks.
So he decided to make the most out of it while he could.
