"Why would you ask to do something like that when you know you like him?" Felix asked Chan as they sat down next to each other in class.
"I know I have no chance with him so this is the closest I will get."
"Chan-" he began to say but stopped with a pout as he thought it through. It was sad but he still had a point. Felix would do the same with his crush if given the opportunity. "Maybe you can get him to change his mind...charm him."
"We've been friends for like 10 years. How am I suddenly supposed to surprise him and convince him to like me now?"
"Well...Where are you going on your date?"
"I don't know yet."
"When is it supposed to be?"
"I also don't know that yet."
He sighed once again and shook his head. "When is the last time you went on a date?"
"Two or three years ago." He replied with a slight pout because the more questions Felix was asking the more he realized that he genuinely had zero chances of actually getting his friend to like him back.
"Channie," Felix sopped himself and gave him a quick side hug. "We'll figure it out. Just let me know when you figure out when and where your date is gonna be."
"Okay."

Chan got back to their dorm before Jeongin did so he sat at his usual spot at the counter and worked on a song, music way too loud in his ears and himself being way too lost in thought to hear when the door had opened.
He only noticed when he felt arms wrap around his waist and a few soft kisses pressed against his neck before he took his headphones off and tried to ignore the fact that he was very obviously blushing.
"Hey, Innie."
"Guess what," he said as he moved away and sat next to him on the other stool, not noticing Chan's disappointed look when he moved.
"Hmm?" Chan hummed in response as he admired his light makeup and his slightly glossy lips...whatever they were doing now wasn't helping the fact that he had already found him attractive.
He'd been tempted to kiss him for months and now that he had finally gotten to do it, he never wanted to not be able to. But that's not what he agreed to.
"I got an A on my English test!" He said happily and Chan couldn't help but smile back. Despite his little change in well- everything, he had still been extremely paranoid about keeping his grades up since classes started.
"Congratulations!"
"I guess your study method was pretty effective," he smiled and leaned forward to give the older a quick kiss. "Anyways- I gotta go now but I'll be back later. Maybe."
"Where are you going?"
"Jisung's...boyfriend? I think? Has to study for something so Jisung invited me to his and Changbin's dorm."
"Oh...okay."
"I'll see you tomorrow probably," Jeongin said, pressing one more kiss against Chan's lips before quickly beginning to walk away, "bye baby."
"Wait-"
Hmm?" Jeongin hummed as he paused and turned to face him again.
"When do you wanna go on our date?"
"Saturday?"
"Okay."
The younger finally shut the door and left which left Chan alone with his thoughts.
He quickly realized that he only had a few days to plan their date.
Jeongin was already under the assumption that Chan had no idea what he was doing since he hadn't been on a date in years.
Yet at the same time, if Jeongin didn't ever go on a date with Jisung then he himself had never been on a date before either.
Chan felt a bit guilty knowing that he was taking him on his first date when Jeongin had no sort of romantic feelings for him...but it seemed like he had already experienced every other part of dating someone without actually dating anyone.
So he wanted to make the date rememberable, and amazing, he wanted to make it feel real.
However, he couldn't figure out whether he wanted that for Jeongin or for himself.
Regardless, as any other clueless human would, he started searching up places they could go.
He ended up falling down an internet hole that was way more time-consuming than he thought it would be. He scrolled through multiple sites and researched multiple places until he finally began figuring out a plan.
He grinned as he thought his plan through and leaned his head against the counter next to his laptop since he had spent who knows how long researching.
He became lost in thought once again when he went back to working on the song he was focusing on previously and pouted a bit when he looked up and saw that it was already 11.
Part of him thought Jeongin was joking when he implied that he would spend the night there but at least Jisung had an actual boyfriend now.
Not that it was Chan's place to get overly worried or jealous anyways.
And it never will be, he thought to himself.
