"Chan, that's so cute!" Felix exclaimed once the blonde had explained his plans for his and Jeongin's date the next day.

"And he'll probably hate it," Chan added with a small sigh.

"No, he won't." Felix denied. "If someone took me on a date like that I would marry them on the spot."

"He's actively looking for a boyfriend as we speak."

"You could be the boyfriend that he's looking for. You guys have never treated each other as more than friends. You can get him to change his mind. Is he sitting with us today at lunch? I wanna ask him a question."

"What question?"

"Answer my question first."

"Most likely, yes. Now you answer mine." Chan replied

"Just a question."

"Felix-"

~~~~~~~~
All of their friends already knew about Chan and Jeongin's...thing due to the fact that Chan had told Felix about it.
However, that didn't change the fact that they were all surprised to see Jeongin approach them and quickly kissed Chan before sitting next to him. It would be impossible to ignore how happy Chan looked when it happened.
Jeongin smiled but it was entirely different. Chan was simply happy while Jeongin was smiling more so In a content way that he had someone to kiss in the first place...but he didn't care much about who that someone was.
"You guys would make such a cute couple," Felix said with a small pout as Chan glared at him and Jeongin just let out a small laugh.
"That's never gonna happen," the youngest explained and Felix saw it as the perfect opportunity to ask his question.
"Then what's your ideal type, Innie?"
"Don't call me that."
"Answer the question."
"I guess it would be a guy that's...cute. Preferably a bit shorter than me but height doesn't matter that much. I would want him to be caring and maybe a bit shy." He explained as Felix blankly stared at him before looking over at Seungmin who was looking at him the exact same way.
"Might as well just marry Chan then," Seungmin shrugged.
"What? Why? You guys need to stop. We don't like each other."
"Yang Jeongin. That ideal type you just described is Chan."
"No it wasn't," Chan mumbled.
"But- Chan literally broke up with his first boyfriend because he was sad that he wasn't spending as much time with you and you guys have literally been cuddling since middle school and-"
"And you guys would make such a cute couple and I've been wanting you guys to date for 6 years and-," Jeongin continued with a slight eye roll.
"Exactly!" Felix exclaimed. "At least the old Jeongin wouldn't deny it. You would just blush whenever I brought it up. I miss him. Bring him back."
Jeongin simply scoffed and shook his head, "Chan deserves better than me anyway," he said quietly. Felix immedietly assumed he was cursing at him but Chan, who was right beside him stared at him blankly.
"Jeong-"
"I gotta go now. Bye Seungmin and Felix," he said, standing up and then leaning down to kiss Chan's forehead, "see you later."
"Chan."
"Jisung is also slightly shorter than him, cute, and probably caring. His description wasn't specific."
"Jisung isn't shy dummy and he's definitely not carrying considering the fact that he dropped Jeongin the second he found someone else."
"I don't think he was trying to describe anyone specific that he knows."
"I don't think he realized that he described someone who he already knows," Seungmin said with a small pout. "Chan is he...okay? I know we all acknowledged that he changed but do you know why? He didn't even contact me and Felix after you left and he ignored us whenever we reached out to him."
"I think he's just...tired of being babied. We all always treated him as if he were a child but he's really only a few months younger than you guys. He got tired of it."
"That's fair," Seungmin nodded although he still felt a bit uneasy about it.
Jeongin had never been one to vocalize if he were having an issue with something. Even when Chan first got a boyfriend, Jeongin was miserable since his best friend suddenly dropped him out of nowhere. Yet no one ever knew he was sad about it in the first place until Seungmin had burst into his room one day to him crying about it.
He had never told either of them about it since he knew Felix would constantly use it against him and he simply didn't want to give Chan any false hope.
Just because he cried didn't mean he was in love with Chan. He could have really just simply missed him platonically and Seungmin didn't want to make a big deal about it.
The main point, however, while Jeongin is...or at least used to be very open about his positive feelings, he refused to allow anyone to do as much as acknowledge his negative emotions, much less do anything to help.
This is why the sudden change over the Summer worried Seungmin so much more.
"Just make sure you check up on him," Seungmin said with a small smile.
"Exactly, the caring part," Felix added, not thinking much about it.
"I will," Chan reassured with a small smile as his mind went back to overthinking how their date it gonna go.
That was all he was thinking about ever since he actually came up with his plan. Now he was just finalizing things in his head so that everything will go perfectly.
