Jeongin woke up and walked into see Chan already in the kitchen, sitting on a stool as he worked on something on his laptop.

He smiled a bit as he sneaked up behind him and loosely wrapped his arms around Chan's waist.

"Good morning," he said innocently as Chan froze in his spot.

"Um hi," he replied, hating the way it sounded so he quickly cleared his throat after.

"What're you doing?"

"I was uhh working on a song."

"You should let me hear it when you're done," Jeongin said then backed up a bit and pressed his lips onto the back of Chan's neck for a few seconds, "we don't have to meet everyone until 4 but I'm gonna go take a shower."

He didn't even wait for a response as he left to go into the bathroom which left Chan slamming his head onto his laptop keyboard with a sigh.

He didn't hate this sudden change in Jeongin but it was beginning to drive him insane.

Chan eventually gave up on trying to work on the song since Jeongin had completely made him loose his track of thought. He closed his laptop and decided to scroll though his phone for a while instead.

Jeongin came back out about 20 minutes later and sat down next to him.

"Why do you feel the need to leave our house naked?" Chan immediately asked once he saw the younger's sleeveless shirt which he paired with black jeans. Simple yet still looked nice...too nice for Chan's liking.

"I'm not naked," Jeongin replied with a scoff as he pulled out his own phone.

"You should still wear a jacket or something over it."

"Why? Because I'm the youngest of our friend group and even though it's fine for you to wear stuff like this in public, it would be the end of the world if I do?" Jeongin asked, not looking away from his phone.

"No, it's just..." Chan began but looked down. He couldn't exactly tell Jeongin that he didn't want other people to stare at him because then the younger would question why. Although the obvious answer was because Chan would get jealous, he refused to except that answer yet also couldn't think of any other ones.

"Chan," Jeongin began as he stood up and moved Chan's chair so that he was facing him before he leaned a bit closer, causing the older's breath to hitch as he looked up to make eye contact, "I'm not a child anymore so please stop treating me like one."

Before Chan even had time to respond, Jeongin had walked away and went back into his room.

Chan gave him about an hour before he got way to bored sitting around by himself and slowly made his way to Jeongin's door and knocked a few times before opening his door.

"Hi," Chan said as he made his way in the room, as Jeongin looked up from his phone for a second and said a small "hello," back.

"I'm sorry," Chan said as he laid onto the bed and Jeongin put down his phone and looked up at him.

"You're too cute to be mad at anyway," Jeongin replied, causing Chan to blush slightly as he brushed it off with an awkward laugh.

"I didn't mean to baby you by the way...it was just a joke."

"I realized, I'm sorry for being over dramatic."

Chan wanted to ask why he got so defensive about it but he decided to drop the topic for now and moved a bit closer to the younger.

"Do you wanna go grocery shopping with me?" Chan questioned, looking up at Jeongin's eyes which he quickly got lost in.

"Am I allowed to wear this?" The younger asked jokingly.

"Only if I'm allowed to hold your hand," Chan said, not exactly intending for his thoughts to be verbalized but it was already too late.

"And why would you want to do that?"

"To um- keep your hands warm? Since you always complain about your hands being cold."

"Is that the only reason?"

"No- I mean yeah." Chan struggled as he now avoided eye contact.

"Are you sure their isn't any other reason?"

Chan looked up at his best friend who had an obnoxiously perfect smirk on his face as he inched closer.

Chan knew he would regret it if he did but the urge to finally lean in was becoming more difficult to ignore.

"Hmm?" Jeongin hummed as he inched a tiny bit closer.

Chan didn't even process that Jeongin was still trying to get an answer to his question, he simply closed his eyes and moved even closer.

Now it was Jeongin's turn to blush red as he quickly covered his lips with his hand.

Chan heard a small squeal escape from the boy in front of him and quickly opened his eyes again to see his face, along with the tips of his ears had turned bright pink.

"Now you know how I felt," Chan decided to say as an excuse and Jeongin, in response, turned around to face the other way as he had a small coughing fit.

"Yeah but- you were actually gonna do it," Jeongin mumbled, still refusing to turn back around.

"No I wasn't," Chan denied.

"Whatever, let's just go grocery shopping," Jeongin said as he stood up and quickly walked out of his room to go put some shoes on with Chan following behind him.

They got everything they needed and were about to walk out the door but Jeongin stopped him and held out his hand.

Chan quickly took it as he opened the door with a small smile on his face.

Jeongin had no idea why it made him subconsciously smile. He also couldn't give a good explanation to his reaction after Chan nearly kissed him. Much less, why his heart was beating so fast during the moment.

Though he was still 100 percent convinced that he had zero sort of romantic feelings towards him, and he didn't think he ever would.
