╭──────༺♡༻──────╮"I don't think I know enough English to be able to help you very much," Jeongin explained the next day as it got closer to the time in which they were supposed to call Chan's 'crush.'
"He knows a little bit of Korean too. You don't have to talk to him for a while or anything just- introduce yourself and be touchy."
"Okay," he agreed with a small pout on his face.
The fact that it was obvious (to him at least) that Chan was never actually going to like him back no matter what he did already hurt enough. Now he needed to help Chan get someone who was most likely exactly like what he was trying to be. Yet somehow, it worked for them without even putting in any effort.
Soon enough Chan was answering a facetime call, he heard them say a few things in English that Jeongin didn't understand, other than the simple sentence, "do you wanna meet my friend?"
Chan pulled Jeongin closer to him and the younger wrapped his arms around his waist. Chan let out a small giggle which made Jeongin's heart skip a beat. He looked at the stranger on the screen that Chan had apparently fallen for and couldn't help but frown again.
He had black hair, a handsome face, and looked pretty muscular.
He was everything that Chan wanted.
Everything that Jeongin wanted to be.
"Hi, my name is Christian (a/n stan dpr ian), it's nice to meet you," he said in Korean.
"It's nice to meet you too, I'm Jeongin."
"Wow, I'm jealous," Christian said as Chan let out a forced giggle. "Do you think you could come back to Australia during a break?"
"Possibly, would you be okay with you Innie?" Chan asked and turned to face him, forgetting how close they were to each other and nearly kissing him in the process.
The blue-haired boy simply laughed at his reaction and quickly kissed his nose, forgetting that this was all an act for a moment.
"I think I would miss you too much."
"At least you get to spend more time with him than I do," Christian said.
"Well, he talks about you all the time."
"No, I don't!" Chan denied but Jeongin continued since Christian seemed so like the news...although he had no clue that he was really smiling at how cute the two were together.
"He wished that he could have stayed in Australia with you instead."
"You should have. I loved spending time with you."
"What if he did?" Jeongin asked.
"Then I probably would have asked him on a date by now," he said, hoping Jeongin would have some sort of reaction though he seemed unfazed.
"We have two weeks off next week. He could go then."
"Really?"
"Yeah, I would just have to see how much plane tickets are."
"Chan, you're rich," Jeongin reminded and Chan simply wanted to hang up and go to sleep due to how much Jeongin seemed to be urging him to go.
However he was the one who asked for help and in Jeongin's eyes, that's exactly what he was providing.
"Wouldn't you miss me too much though?" Chan asked, turning towards Jeongin.
"You would only be gone for a few weeks...unless you decide to stay there like you said you wanted to."
"Yeah," Chan replied dryly before saying something in English to Christian that Jeongin didn't understand.
"Oh- I have to go now but it was nice talking to you Chan, and it was nice meeting you Jeongin...bye!"
The two quickly said bye to him and if they weren't so caught up in their own feelings about how the call had gone then maybe one would have realized how upset the other looked.
But of course, they didn't.
To Chan's surprise, he felt Jeongin's arms wrap around him again, pulling him onto his lap.
Chan stared back at him which lasted for a few moments until the younger gently pulled him closer from the back of his neck.
Chan closed his eyes for what he was expecting to be a rough kiss but it ended up being what was their softest one yet.
He stayed still for the first few seconds until he slowly followed Jeongin's lead and kissed back.
The euphoric feeling ended way quicker than Chan had hoped for it to.
Jeongin moved away from his lips and placed several more kisses onto random spots on his face.
Chan's brain was so clouded from the suddenness of it all that he didn't even put any thought as to why Jeongin was suddenly doing this.
"I guess it's time to end our fake relationship," Jeongin said with a forced laugh.
"It is?" Chan asked, now suddenly feeling as though his heart had dived off from the high cliff Jeongin's kiss had managed to make it fly to by kissing him. (literally what??? my excuse is that it's 1 in the morning...it doesn't have to make sense😞)
"I mean- he obviously seems interested in you too and I have a date tomorrow so might as well just end it now."
"Oh. Yeah. Yeah, that does make sense."
"Well anyway, I'm gonna go out with Jisung, Hyunjin, and Changbin. I probably won't be back until tomorrow afternoon."
"Okay."
"See you then," Jeongin said, standing up and walking out of the room.
Chan was left alone, wondering whether or not Felix's idea had made everything happen quicker or if Jeongin had been planning to do this sometime before his date anyway.
Either way, the fake breakup hurt just as badly as a real one.
