After shooing away her goons, Maleficent brought us to the castle we considered headquarters for the five of us and our parents. And in my opinion, Mal needed to convince her mom to clean up her kitchen.

Maleficent strode to her throne and threw herself on the squeaky seat. She then snapped her fingers at Mal, motioning her to take the nail filer. Mal complied and took the rusty filer from the table before giving it to her mother. The rest of us went to each of our parents' sides and I spotted my mother standing near the balcony.

Before becoming famous for her villainous act, my mother was a well-known beauty with her rich brown eyes, glorious bronze skin, and luscious dark hair, which I proudly inherited, except for the eyes though. I could guarantee no one looked better than my mother (I am not sorry, EQ).

It seemed like my mother noticed me, she turned towards me and a small smile was hanging from her lips while she beckoned me to go to her side. I grinned and walked briskly to my mother before hugging her (after I saw no one noticed, of course). "Mom!"

"Hello, my little viper." My mother returned the hug and pulled away before anyone noticed it, "Did you do the laundry?"

I nodded, "Yes, I did."

"And did you clean the house?"

"Of course."

"Most importantly, did you have your breakfast?" She asked worriedly.

I nodded again, "I've grabbed something to eat, Mom. Don't worry."

She smiled and nodded in approval, "That's my girl. Well, you should know by now about you five getting chosen to go to Auradon."

"Yeah, but do we have to go?" I grumbled while crossing my arms, "There might be Aladdin or Genie's children."

My mother sighed and rubbed both of my upper arms in comfort, "Sadly, yes. But you get to have a new experience in a new place, no?"

"Well, yeah, but-"

"And you'll get to tell me all about it, right?" My mother inquired.

I pursed my lips before nodding with a sigh, "Of course, Mom. But who'll do the chores and cook for you when I go? And don't tell me you'll go to Uncle J's place," I paused my talking and looked behind me to see if Uncle Jafar heard us or not. I sighed in relief when I saw him focused on talking excitedly to Jay about the pottery he just stole, then I turned back towards my mother, "You know how he cooks. It's awful if I'm honest. Jay is traumatized up until this day."

My mother laughed and said, "Oh, your uncle's gonna be sad when he hears this. But don't worry, Vae. I'll manage myself well enough. Trust me." As if she was afraid I didn't believe her, my mother smiled reassuringly before continuing, "Rest assured, my darling. Now go to your friends' sides, I see that old witch is starting her speech."

Afterward, I felt myself getting pushed gently by my mother and I gathered with the others while waiting for Maleficent's instruction.

"You will go. You will find the fairy godmother and you will bring me back the magic wand." She said while filing her nails, "Easy peasy."

Mal moved forward, "What's in it for us?"

"Matching thrones, hers-and-hers crown."

"Excuse me? Are we invisible or what?" I said sarcastically, earning a glare from the older woman (which I ignored, as usual).

She then snapped her fingers at her daughter and Mal moved forward, getting face to face with her mother, "It's all about you and me, baby." She started, "Don't you enjoy watching innocent people suffer?"
