"Oh. So that's why." Mal stated in realization.

We split ways with the boys and went to the girls' dorms. And when we opened the room, it was as what I'd expected, it was fully pink and no other color was found. Mal looked outright disgusted by the brightness of the room and I stopped her from saying anything because Evie looked very excited and I wanted to keep it that way.

Then, we heard a knock on our door. I opened the door and saw an elegant looking blond with a tape measure hanging on his neck while holding four rolls of fabric and a small chest in both of his hands. His jade green eyes lit up when he saw me opening the door, "Bonjour, mademoiselle. What a gorgeous lady you are."

I blinked my eyes, surprised by his straightforwardness, "Uh, thank you?"

"Oh! I hope it didn't come out rude," He quickly explained, almost incomprehensible because of his thick accent, "I forgot to introduce myself, my name is Feu Leht, and my papa's Lumiere, if you're wondering."

I nodded and gave him a polite smile, "That explains the accent. I'm Nevaeh, nice meeting you. Are those the stuff I requested?"

"Oui, I also placed some threads in the chest - just in case you needed them." He beamed before handing me the fabrics and a roll of them fell from my grip, "Ah! I'm sorry, should I help bring them to your dorm?"

"No, no. It's fine." I declined his offer before calling out Evie and Mal to help me bring the fabrics in. Mal came to the door first and took a roll of the fabric and the exquisite chest.

"My, my. Your friend is just as wonderful." Feu complimented when he saw Mal and the latter smiled awkwardly before bringing the objects into the dorm

But when Evie came, Feu suddenly exclaimed in astonishment, "Mon Dieu!"

Evie looked at me in confusion and before I knew what was going on, Feu bolted towards Evie and hold her hand while looking like he was about to cry, "Mademoiselle, will you visit my store when you have the time?"

"Uh," Evie glanced at me for suggestion and I nodded after deeming Feu as harmless, "sure?"

"Parfait!" The man exclaimed excitedly and clapped his hands together, "I'll be expecting your arrival. And since my job here is done, I shall take my leave."

I returned the bow he gave and closed the door when I saw him leaving. Mal looked up from her spellbook and raised an eyebrow at me, "Vae, I know you're courteous with strangers, even on the Isle. But don't you think that's not ..."

"Villain-ish?" I continued after seeing her struggling to find the right words.

Mal nodded, "Yeah. And my question is why?"

"Oh, Mal. I have my reasons." I chuckled before taking a seat on one of the beds, "Just because you saw me act 'polite' to people doesn't mean I'm good at all."

Evie furrowed her perfectly trimmed brows, "What does that mean?"

"It means the reason I act like that is that those people are useful to me and/or powerful slash influential. Or maybe I just enjoy the act." I stated while unrolling the fabrics, "For example, Ben. He's the son of the King of Auradon and Auradon isn't our territory. Meaning he could have us sent away to the Isle and we won't manage to even saw the wand or he could have us killed because our actions are similar to our parents, which could threaten Auradon."

I stood up and unpacked my stuff while continuing, "I know what you're thinking, Mal. The two of us have magic and most of the people in Auradon are mortals, which gave us the upper hand, right?"
