Dedicated to @aanvisingh9. Youngest follower. And her incessant nagging has actually helped in this book getting updated. Otherwise I excel at procrastination. Thank you dear. :*

Rachel's POV:
I woke up feeling fresh and mischievous. I had planned to play with Dylan for not more than 2 days. I was mischievous but not cruel.
I got ready and met Kaylen at the bus stop. She seemed to bubble up with something. I was sure she had stuff to tell me. The moment I reached the bus stop, Kaylen burst open.
"Dylan called me up yesterday. He was asking me about you. Whether you realised that he asked you for the dance or not. He seemed really upset. But you wanted to play your little game so I told him that you did not seem to realise anything out of the usual. But I told him in that you'd better ask her soon because Robert is planning to ask you soon. And god! His reaction was epic."
She had said all of this in one breath so she had turned red with the effort. I simply could not stop laughing at her face.
"Girl. Calm down. You seem more excited than I am. I love you for that. Come on, the bus has arrived. We had better leave now."
We boarded the bus. As I was climbing the steps, yesterday's memories came back to me. I smiled to myself and joined Kaylen.
Two stops later, Dylan and Nathan boarded. I gave Dylan a cute smile, but he didn't really give it back. Someone looked preoccupied today. Nathan gave me a smile and squeezed Kaylen's shoulder. They took their seat.
Just to fill in the awkward tension, I decided to start a conversation.
"So boys, have anyone of you asked anyone out yet?" I asked them looking directly at Dylan and giving Kaylen a high five under the seat.
Dylan had gone red. His eyes darted around looking everywhere except at me. However, he did manage to reply by choking out a few words.
"I...I..ummm...yeah...I mean no... I mean kind off. I don't know.... Oh stop it the 3 of you." Dylan spoke out. The three of us had started to laugh looking at his poor face. I posed the same question to Nathan. "What about you Nate? Found a date?"
"Not yet, but I am going ask someone today." Nathan replied and I felt Kaylen stiffen beside me. "Who is it Nate? Come on tell us." I began to pester him. "Yeah...tell us Nathan." Dylan and Kaylen said in unison.
"No. That is going to be a surprise. But today you will come to know. I promise." Nathan replied, grinning from ear to ear.
We continued our usual banter until school came. Soon we got off and joined Emma and entered the campus.
We girls first class was Arithmetics. The boys had English. We said our goodbyes and entered the Arithmetic class. Mr. Nickerson was already there, grading some test papers. We three entered and took our seats. The class was pretty boring. We were twirling our pencils around, doing some random calculations, not really paying attention. Mr. Nickerson himself was pretty distant. Suddenly, there was an announcement, disrupting everyone from their stupor.
