Kaylen POV:
September flew away faster than expected. We had settled down to our normal routine. Ashley had joined our little coven and mixed in quite quickly. She was amusing and adorable. At first, Dylan had this annoying habit of treating her like a baby. Ashley's face made us all laugh. But soon they became pretty close friends.
All was good. Rachel and Dylan were getting closer day by day, so close that me and Emma felt suspicious that they were dating. Nathan and I had become the best of friends. Nathan was increasingly close to Emma as well. I felt that finally, everything was in its right place. My life was complete. I got amazing friends, wonderful teachers.
All was going good. We were all happy. I had finally accepted the fact that what I felt was "love" was nothing but an infatuation. I had gotten out of it and now really enjoyed Nathan' company. We had many similarities. We both loved books, both did not like how all major Harry Potter scenes were cut out from the movies, we were in the same fandoms, watched the same TV shows and had quite a similar view point about all characters. Except for Chandler Bing. We frequently fought over him. But the debates were funny. He was my personal library and always provided me with whatever books or movies I wanted since I sucked at technology and could not download them.
But, I kept on having this feeling that something was going to happen. And it excited me, though I had no idea what.
Rachel's POV:
Mid-October was rolling around the corner. I was so excited. And so in love. The Halloween party was close. I was really eager to go to this party. Because that meant I would get to dance. I was hoping Dylan would ask me to the dance. Maybe he would. And I would say yes. I would have his strong hands around my waist, my hand on his shoulder as we would dance all night. Maybe I could get a kiss! Who knows! I couldn't help but giggle to myself.
My anticipation was paramount. Em, I and Kay had already decided what to wear for Halloween. Though we decided to keep it a secret. I had decided to go dressed as Merida, from Brave. We both had flaming red hair. I already had an archery set at home. All I had to do was paint it brown and I was done.
I was sitting on the gym bleachers dreaming to myself when Emma plopped herself beside me.
"Hey Lover Girl. If you are done dreaming, then please come on. We need to get this gym decorated before Halloween."
I groaned out loud.
"But isn't for ten more days. Why are they at it so early?"
"Oh come on Drama Queen. It's fun. Come on. Dylan is driving me crazy down there. Are you sure you aren't dating him? Both of you seemed preoccupied lately."
