I couldn't believe my eyes. I was staring at the familiar hazel eyes and dimpled smile, which was now turning into a full fledged grin. He was standing there. The person I wanted the most.
"Jonathan!" I squealed as I ran and jumped into his arms. He toppled over and the two of us landed in the soft snow.
"My Lady seems happy to see me." He was grinning at my heart melted.
"Of course I missed you silly. But how come you are back?" I asked him. Now that he was back, I didn't want to let him go. I wanted to stay like this, in the snow, in his arms.
He got up and pulled me to my feet, "Well, lets see. I think you remember me telling you that my school got burnt up? Evidently the damage was too severe so they have to shut the school down. My parents aren't home most of the time and the nearest high school was really far. So I suggested to let me move here with Grandma and attend school here. That way I will be off there hands and Grandma won't be lonely anymore. Also, I missed you."
He missed me. Yayy for me. I subconsciously fingered the locket he gave.
"Ahh, so I see you loved the locket. Though I wish I had been here to put it on." He winked at me flirtatiously and I shoved him lightly, though I was secretly pleased inside.
And suddenly, a thought struck me.
"Wait a minute, you are staying here? Like forever?" "Good morning. Of course I am." He chuckled.
The next second we were on the ground again.
He laughed as he pulled me to his feet. That is when I heard someone clearing their throat.
"Damn! How rude of me. I forgot to introduce you guys." I turned to my friends silently smacking my forehead.
"Guys, this is Jonathan. Jonathan, these are my friends Emma, Nathan, Ashley, Robert, Dylan and Rachel. Rach, you know Mrs. Miller right? Jonathan is her grandson."
Jonathan waved to everyone and turned to me. I got to go Kay. I promised Grandma I will help for dinner. Goodbye my lady." He bowed and left.
I stood there staring at him like an idiot. My friends surrounded me and a resounding slap to my arm woke me out of my love-struck stupor.
"When did he come here?" Rachel was staring at me. "He lived with Mrs. Miller for a month." I grinned sheepishly. "You had an extremely super hot guy living next door for a month who treats you like his girlfriend, calls you 'my lady' and you never felt like mentioning this?" Now she was glaring daggers.
"I just forgot honestly. It slipped my mind. Sorry." I replied still feeling sheepish. "What more have you guys done that I don't know?" Rachel's glare was now making me nervous. "Well, he took me out on a few dates." "And?" "And he kissed me goodnight after every one of them." At that point Rachel stormed off, fuming. I ran after her.
