Our meeting was short-lived.
You knew it to be far before I did.
Even so, you embraced me whole.
I wasn't aware I'd be so lucky to cross paths
with such a kindred soul.
In a way our souls aligned, temporarily, but genuinely.
As I engulfed this truth you bestowed,
I realized time is not in my control.
You, with ease, grasped this truth and sprinkled it upon me; the answer I'd searched so long for.
Life offers little gifts that simply do not move at one's will.
You are one of those gifts.
I've chosen to not keep myself wondering why life must give me this circumstance, but instead I'll absorb every moment...
every feeling it happily gives me.
For I am lucky to be in it's occurence.
To share the same atmosphere.
It must live on long after you've completed your task.
It will, because I will make it so.
If I cannot have forever, I will create it within.
