Beauty lies within
A firm believer in them
Beauty lies with the beholder
Crushing society under it's weight
Much like a bolder
Each line or scar
All apart of who you are
The way your lips curves up into a smile
Makes someone's day worthwhile
Even if not to oneself
Do they appreciate their beauty
There will always be someone else
To more than understand it, truly
Each cell made from an atom
Each feature telling the tale
Of another life, can you fathom?
You're like a wish from a wishing well
Except you are the well not the coin
Holding all it's unwanted, desired wishes
Like a genie from all those fairy-tails
To be beautiful is a blessing
Thought to be gifted
But who says we can't all be?
As if beauty is something thrifted
The only thing used is details of those of the past
All combined together to create you, at-last.
An original yet a mix
An unearned gift
The one thing the lives before you left you with
Every detail that sets you apart from the rest
Might've been a feature they liked
though you felt like you looked a mess
Loving you is not just loving you
But every part of you that is shared
From your birth mark to your short frizzy hair
As sappy as all this is
I'd still come with a list
Lovingly reminding you of this
Eventually, you realize that we are one
That you and I share the same feelings;
In solitude, they come undone
Revealing a little child who was oblivious
Not knowing more about anything but goldfish
The little orange kind, dreaming they could fly
Fly to a life one could only dream
Not really understanding what that means
Love that child who knows not
Love the lives that lived each feature before you
Love every hair on your little head and
Allow love in each and every thought
