Madeline's POV

We made our way up to the library.

No one is usually here at this time.

"Isn't this that book you were looking for?" Michael pointed out.

I picked the book up and observed, it was a John Green book.

I heard sobbing from the other end of the Library.

"Come here," I whispered to him.

I made my way to the opposite side of the library.

"Calum?" I said confused.

"Stop," he whimpered with cries.

"What's wrong?" I asked sitting next to him, getting a glare from Michael as if he was telling me to leave him alone.

"Nothing" anger clearly in his voice.

"My mom, she has cancer," he said, wiping his tears.

"I'm sorry" I truly did feel bad for him.

I can't imagine how it would be if my mom had cancer.

"Don't, I don't want your pity" he said, anger returning in his voice.

"You know it's okay to cry, you're human too," I sighed.

"Don't mention this to anyone, or else," he said, getting up from his spot.

My eyes widened and sure enough we parted our ways.

I sat down and started reading the book Michael found but for some reason, Calum was on my mind the whole time.

A/n: I'm extremely bored. So I decided to update, even though it's boring and short. (-:
