Zora
Even though I still had a full weekend to rest I still felt out of it. I didn't want to go back to school at all, which isn't like me. So I convinced my mom I should stay home for two days. Let's just say it took way A LOT of convincing. For some reason, I just didn't want to see anyone. I'm hoping that's normal? I mean it isn't for me. Anyways today, we had the council meeting we were planning on doing a winter ball in December. Though everyone was fighting over a theme, which drove me nuts. Shouldn't things like that just be winter-themed? But no it should be something different. We usually always do a winter theme so I doubt it will change. I currently was walking towards the girls since break had just started.
"Oh my gosh, Zora your back!" Myra practically wrapped her arms around my waist and squeezed me to death. "I thought you died? You didn't even call any of us back" She said with a concerned look on her face. Everyone looked concerned even Lani to my surprise. I mean Lani cares she just doesn't try to show it.
"Yeah, we felt so incomplete without you" Nancy got a hold of my hand holding and caressing it. Her fingertips were so soft on top of my hand that they felt so soothing.
"Can we talk in private?" Lani interrupted whatever type of moment was happening. She always had this blunt expression on her face but this one had a look of guilt.
"Yeah sure," I got up and followed her to wherever the private place she wanted to talk at. It happened to be in the P.E storage unit. The room smelt like sweaty balls and sour cream.
"...So what did you want to talk about?" I was practically anxious to hear what she had to say. I don't know how long I could stay in this humid room.
"I'm sorry for being a cunt" She had a dull expression but with such little hope. I never thought she would ever apologize for anything, especially to me. She paused momentarily trying to find the words on what to say next. " I have been nothing but shit to you. I put you down when you don't deserve it, I did it for personal insecurity that has nothing to do with you. I'm scared I'm pushing you away" She took a deep breath of relief after expressing her emotions. She felt bad for what she was doing but didn't address it. I didn't say anything though, I just pulled her in a hug.
"I forgive you" she immediately started sobbing on my shoulder. I wasn't still sure why this was all coming up. What if she wants to apologize but maybe she wanted to change? After that, she explained that she was working on herself to become better. I guess Steve said something to her that made her come to a realization. I'm hoping things will change cause she is pissing me off more than usual. As soon as we walked out of that smelly room it was time to get back to class.
