Thank you for the one thousand reads
I feel blessed.

Indigo Evans

God has blessed me.

Over blessed me.

I pray he never takes the blessings away.

I peek through the opening of the stairs. I look at my daughter who was making me lunch and Yes, I have taught Aurora to do and make simple meals since she loves to stay in the kitchen with me and cook.

She didn't tell me actually what she's going to make but all I know It that me and my toilet would have a date if it involves food with sugar, salt, pepper and cheese. She's bad at putting the actual amounts in food.

She huffs when her hair gets on her face, I look at the small stool she was standing on to table as she uses a safety scissors to cut the vegetables that she was cutting. I look as she hops off the stool and takes a mash potato masher, an evil smile goes on her.

"Bye bye, potato". She waves, the force when puts the masher. The plate almost tips off the table but she stops it on time.

I take my phone and video this, I have lot of videos of Aurora from her birth to now. Aurora's birth was not an easy one. Doctor said I was tiny and underweight, there was a time I saw blood dripping from my legs as I was pregnant and I cried my eyes out as I drove to the hospital but it's anything life threatening that could hurt me or her.

Aurora didn't cry when she was brought in to the world, I was tired but that tiredness left my body I didn't hear my baby cry. I watch as they tried putting something in her nose to remove water from her nose.

She was aslo put in an incubator for two weeks, I could not touch her or kiss her. it was a tough pregnancy but Aurora was so worth all the stress, hormones, cries and a time that I peed on myself in public. But I mean she was worth everything.

"Making lunch for mommy". She sings, she adds some eggs in the mashed potatoes, I see her add the sliced vegetables, bacon bit before she mixes them together and sighs.

"Aurora, Do you need help with the stove?"

"No Mommy like you said, turn on, move back". She recalls the rules I told her when she wants to use the stove.

"Mommy, can you help me put the butter in the pan so I don't hurt myself please?". She says, I drop my phone and go to help.

I take a brush and brush butter on the pan she mumble a thank you, I watch her as I see her take the mixture and puts some on the pan before she goes to take a spatula.

(A/n) it's a recipe that my grandma made, god, I miss her made up cookery skills.

She flips it and does a small clap when she sees it was the bright amount of brown. I smile seeing how proud she's of herself, I had registered her into a school while she was going shopping and the fee was high but it was a good school for her too.

She finishes frying the whole mixture and she plates them"Sit down, mommy". She commands and sits me down by force.

She runs along and takes the pitcher from the freezer and sets it down on the table. I look at her with a smile when she takes the fork from the kitchen and sets them down
"The lord's prayer". She says, she holds my hand and closes her eyes saying the prayer

"Thank you God". She adds.

I would say the food was perfect but nah, I love she tried but the salt was too much. I told her after that the food was perfect, I hand her the dirty plates since she insisted that she would wash the dishes.
