𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐬 𝐜𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐨.

You know that feeling when you make plans but it never leaves the group chat? The hangout at my place got cancelled cause they had something to do so only Brett is coming over tonight because Oakley has an extra shift in the orphanage and they're not in good speaking terms because of a stunt Brett pulled?

"let me get this straight yeah, you wanted to make her jealous because you find it cute, the worker in her orphanage was flirting with you and she thinks that you're hoeing around with her worker?". I said, he nods in confirmation like it didn't even make any sense right.

"This is why you shouldn't fall in love with a woman" I said, dipping my chips in the salsa before my eyes meet his eyes and he glared at me.

"Coming from someone who is in love with his girl, your name should be Augustus Simpson Costello". He adds, I mean I don't mind being called a simp.

"She's indigo, who won't be in love with her like Do you think God just randomly blesses anyone a ten out of ten anyhow and you want to fumble her?". I scoffed there's no way in hell I'm fumbling her.

"I wish you could see her from my eyes dude, she has the prettiest eyes and when she smiles yeah? her eyes smiles and light up like how can her eyes be so beautiful and don't get me started on her forehead, that majestic shiny acre of land on her head-".

"Dude, tell her that you love her already before you both leave for Canada tomorrow". He said and I sigh

"I don't want it to seem like I'm forcing her to love-".

"You're not forcing her to love you back, say how you feel and what if she feels the same way about you?". He encourages but what if she doesn't love me back.

"And if she doesn't love you back then her lost, Dude you're an amazing boyfriend and an amazing father. Now go make me proud". He adds, God I love Brett.

"I'll go talk to Oakley now because I miss her". He adds, he gets up and dusts off crumbs of chips off his dress pants before he makes his way to the door.

"Thank you man, I appreciate it". I said, he flips me off talking about me being too sappy with him, I flip him off too because I didn't mean to make it sappy.

I closed the door and took a deep breath, Star must be in her room"Star?". I knocked on her door, few seconds later she opens the door and our meet meet

She walks back to the bed and continues to pack her things, note to self, pack my things before I go to bed because our flight is at 1pm and time is flying.
"Hey star, I have something to say and it has been on my mind-".

She scoffs"That you don't fall in love with women? Noted". She replies, shit.

"Star I swear to God, I was just messing around-".

"Do you know the most painful part in this? Here I was delusional that okay this man makes my heart squeeze in joy when we are together or that God my feelings for you- forget it". She scoffs, she looks at picks some stack of clothes from her bed.

"Is this your way of saying you love me?".

"I loved with a ed-".

I pull her to face me, she doesn't know how many cartwheel my heart just did and landed on the floor due to too much excitement"Come here silly". I pull her close and leaned in, she doesn't protest so I lean and kiss her. It was more magical than the dreams I had about kissing her.

"I love you star". I said once I pull away from the kiss
"I loved you since I met you in college and I still love you now that you're my girl". I paused" Words can't articulate how much love I have for you in my heart. I want to make you so happy to the point where you can't stop smiling and I want to make you feel so loved that you don't have to doubt anything or my love for you even with that I want to learn more things that make you happy to prove to you how amazing you're". I said, she doesn't say anything.
