This was the first time I went shopping for myself in a very long time, I always focused on Aurora having clothes and i would be okay with one shirt and a skirt as long as Aurora had good pretty clothes but I mean business has been good so I decided to be a bit selfish today and buy some clothes for myself.

I fling the bags of clothes on my bed and sighed, I like them a lot but do I have the confidence to wear them? Hell no! But will I let 500 dollar's worth of dresses rot in my closet? No so I'm going to watch a YouTube video on how to gain some confidence and some balls cause I'm going to wear one of this dress to my father's house too"Lord have mercy on me". I said pulling up my favorite YouTuber, liz the wizard.

A knock on my door interrupts my show, one maid comes in with a flower bouquet in her hands" Ma, this is for you".The maid drops the arrangements on my vanity and leaves my room.

Thank you for letting me hang out with you and the girls especially thank you for letting me see you in those beautiful dresses, you're truly mesmerizing.

A small smile creeps on my face, he bought me these because he thinks I'm mesmerizing? Damn, I loved
flowers since I was a little girl, I would stay in the garden and smell all the pretty flowers and put some on my hair"they smell so good". I cooed, I take the vase in my room and add some water, flower food inside the water before I put flower in the vase.

I decided to do something back for him, maybe something I know he likes, I remember he loved this rocky road cookies when we were in college. I will make some just like an appreciation thing right! I go downstairs to the pantry searching for the ingredient
"Flour, check".

"Butta? Check".

"Coco powder". I searched and smile seeing it.

"No brown sugar but I will use white, in Jesus name it will turn good". I said with finger crossed, I look in the fridge and yes, we have some eggs.

I set everything on the counter and take out some bowls out, I add the melted butter and coco powder together then mixed the sugar, eggs, vanilla with the rest of the ingredients before twenty minutes the cookies were in the oven and baking"Mommy!". My little angel squeals flinging the door closed.

"Aurora, how was school love?". I said kissing her sweaty forehead, yum I love the taste of sweat and grass on my toddler's head?

"Fine mama, we did arts and crafts. I painted a hand turkey". She beams in joy" it's in school but I will show you and daddy tomorrow mommy". She adds.

"Ok". I kiss her chubby cheeks, I get her off the counter and put some mittens to take out the cookies out of the oven"I made some cookies, do you want one love?". I said and she nods her head excitedly.

I gently take four cookies out of the pan into the plate and put them on the counter to cook down, I take her hand and we walk upstairs to her room to get her off her cloths into some fresh cloths " So Batman pjs tonight?". I said holding the Batman shirt with Batman logo pants and she nods yes.

I tie her hair into a messy bun and take her into the bathroom, I washed all the dirt and grass on her hair I wrapped her up in her towel and kiss her head. I love spending time with my daughter because I don't know how much time I have in this earth and she's growing up so fast, soon she will be old to take kisses from her mom" Cookies!". She squeals downstairs once she's dressed and cozy.

"Daddy!". She squeals again seeing her dad in the hallways, he lets out a grunt once she slams her small body into his body"Hey Trouble". He squeals kissing her hair like I'm so glad that she gets to live and experience this moment with her father.

"Daddy I painted a hand turkey in school". She adds, his eyes sparks in curiosity" it's in school but I'll show you tomorrow daddy". She adds and he kisses her head again and again.

"Come on daddy, mommy made some cookies". She squeals, his eyes light up in curiosity" I love cookies, come on Mommy, let's go downstairs". He adds, he takes my arm and we all go downstairs to the cookies

"Rocky Road cookies!".He squeals seeing the cookies
Yes, he still loves them just like when he did back in college"Daddy where did you meet mummy?".

His eyes look at me before he turns back to her" it was a beautiful day in the university of Canada". He adds sound effects just to spark her interest more.

"There was your mommy in a sweater when it was like the hottest time in Canada but not for your mom but there she was looking all sexy with her glasses on the bench smelling the flowers". He adds, I blushed

"When did you marry mommy because Paige told us about her mommy and daddy's wedding".

"Aurora, we are not married yet". I butt in.

Aurora scowls" But Paige said you have to get married first before you have kids so why did daddy not marry you?".

"I'm not worthy of your mommy yet, it will take time but trust me when I say when I get there then ofc I'll marry your mommy,". He adds, he sits Aurora on her seat and passes her one cookie

Did he just say he wants to marry me?

I have never pictured me getting married before, I mean big halls, me in a wedding dress with flowers in my hand going to marry someone who's willing to get married to me in a sense that my father didn't bribe them or something to get married to me.

"Star, are you okay?".

I snap out of it" Yes, I'm. Want some warm milk?".

"Yeah and thank you for the cookies, they're really good". He adds, I take some cups and fill them with some milk.

I sit beside them and take a cookie from the plate, the cookie was good not going to lie, like thank you to my mom for all the baking skills. Thank you to my mom and we spent time together just like a family!

"Daddy want to watch hello kitty with me?".

"Ohhh, we could go meet Aunt Natalie?". He suggests, Aurora squeals hearing her aunt's name.

"Yesss!".

"Star, do you want to come with us?".

I gulped, I'm ready to meet his sister? What if she doesn't like me or she doesn't like me and- don't overthinking"Sure, Aurora go wear your jacket. It's cold outside". I said, she hops off her chair and goes upstairs to wear a jacket.

I need to get her a jacket, Canada is cold especially Montreal but idk about Nova Scotia since they just move there two years ago? Idk why.

"From a scale to 1 to 10, how do you feel about going to Canada this Monday?". He ask, his finger combing through the curls of my hair.

"2 trillion?".

He laughed" Don't worry everything will be fine, I'm here with you and Aurora is with you too".  He adds, he lays a kiss on my big ass forehead. I love forehead kisses a lot like out of nowhere forehead kisses.

It's like everyday this man is like Indigo I'm going to make you fall more in love with me, then I fall more in love with him"I'm ready ! To aunt Natalie's house".
