Dinner was so awkward with the silence between the three of us, Aurora didn't even glance at me one bit. She knew I was staring at her but she's ignoring me. Yes my reaction wasn't the best or the peachiest but she has me and she needs only me so what does she need my parents for when she has me her mother?

What does she need from her grandparents that I can't give her like she needs money or something? I could raise the money for her if she asked me? Or I just don't understand why she would need them fr. I look at her as she take a bite of her pizza and smiles
at her father like oh you can't look at me but you can smile at your father now? Eish.

"Hurry up Aurora, you have school tomorrow". I said trying to talk to her, her eyes meet mine and a huge frown appears on her face and she lowered her gaze

"Yes mommy". She replied respectfully.

"Uhm so I was thinking about us going for a little
family vacation just the three of us". Augustus said.

"It's not necessary because she would miss out on school just for some unnecessary break". I said, he wants to paint me as a villain I know what's he's up to.

"No she won't because her school offers online classes so she could offer online classes during our
Vacation like it's just three weeks Star plus we will be traveling as a family". He adds, Ouu smart custard.

"Where will we be going daddy?". Aurora asked, she looked so happy about this vacation, son of a yam.

"That's going to be a surprise trouble". He uses one of his finger to touch her nose then closes her pizza box" you can have the rest later, come on you have school tomorrow". He adds kissing her forehead.

"Good night daddy". She hugs him.

"Good night mommy". She says standing beside me, she doesn't lean in for a hug, I gave my best smile as she runs upstairs to her room.

It was just us, I wanted to hurt him so bad but there was no use of it, he puts her pizza slices in a fridge
"What exactly are you trying to do hun?". I talk first

He furrowed his eyebrows"Uhm nothing?".

I scoff"Don't pretend as if you're not trying to make me look like the bad guy here in front of my own-".

"How was I trying to make you the bad guy? I thought it was going to even lighten the mood and plus it's our daughter indigo because we were both-"

"You were never around I was-".

" I was never around cause you never told me I had a daughter so keep that accusation to yourself, God I was trying to help and you try to ruin my mood?". He scoffs, his tone high and mean, he never talked to me like this since I have known him.

I clench my fist trying to stop the tears from coming out from my eyes, I hate being shouted at and I hate making people angry at me"Good night". He says, he closes his own pizza box and walks to the stairs.

Leaving me alone downstairs, I look at the stairs going maybe he will come back and say sorry for shouting at me but seconds turned to minutes and minutes almost turned to hour"What have I done?". I self-reflect on everything that just happened.
