-----------------------------------------------------------

It was already a dark night with fog slowly thickening in your surroundings that subtly hides the establishments within the vicinity as the moon reaches its peak among the shimmering stars, providing you with light to guide your journey. The light from the celestial bodies helped you navigate the street and through the eerie silence was the soft clicks of your boots as you finally see your destination at a distance. It remained jolly despite most of its nearby buildings already starting to close for the night as you frowned before continuing. As you reach the bar Sebastian frequents, you are met by drunkards exiting the establishment, too intoxicated to notice you.

You find the situation lucky, finding any unwelcome attention from them much of a hassle than your objective in mind already is before you let them stumble outside as you stepped out of their way. You scrunched your nose after smelling the unpleasant stench within, hesitating with entering before you heavily sighed as you begrudgingly proceeded. You covered the lower half of your face after subtly coughing from the increasing intensity before wandering your gaze. Immediately spotting Sebastian, you made your approach while blankly staring at the women by his side while he played some card games with another group of men, sober enough to do so.

All of them did not seem to mind your sudden presence, assuming that you were just a fellow patron curious enough to witness the ongoing card game. With a victorious smirk tugging at his lips after presenting an expressionless countenance, your supposed lover shows his card. With a flick of his wrist, he had been swift with doing so as it revealed his win that left the other players groaning and grumbling from their defeat. He collects the money equivalent to his reward from his accomplishment, swiping away the remaining cards that blocked the way for it. The woman congratulated him before making herself all the more comfortable on his lap as he lets her.

Upon seeing the unpleasant show of subtle intimacy between strangers, you were relieved to not be affected by such a display. It just meant that the love you once had and shared with Sebastian had finally disappeared after months of witnessing his tendencies. Seeing as he clearly has no commitment to the supposed romantic relationship between the two of you, there was no other reason left for it to remain as it is. It was time for you to move on and properly proceed with your life, progressing it well without him hindering it. You cleared your throat that startled the woman while the man gave you a casual greeting as if it's the norm.

You gave a blank stare back at him before momentarily glancing at the woman that seemed to be confused with the situation before directing him. "Moran... I see that you're already entertaining yourself. I just want to remind you that we're no longer together officially... Seeing as you've been adamant with your unpleasant hobby of bedding with another."

"There you go again with your tantrum. How many times do I need to tell you that they are merely distractions. No attachments, whatsoever. It's all for fun." Sebastian scoffed before downing another whisky, frowning after hearing you call him by his last name and not by any form of endearment per usual.

You lightly smiled and with a tilt of your head that seemed disturbing, you casually inform him in return. "I've had enough of it. Surely it won't be a difficult task for you to move on as well. I see no reason for me to stay in a relationship with a man that has no commitment as well as disloyal and unfaithful."

The unusual feeling of immense fear suddenly greeted him as he looked at your expressionless features, finding it unpleasant and frustrating compared to your common reactions through screaming curses at him before he would carefully soothe you. It mostly worked like a charm and the problem would dissipate right after, and yet he would always return to his womanising practises that every time he does it, your love and care for him carefully diminished. Informing him that you will leave him and start anew after having enough of his many affairs, something seemed to click within him. Everything comes crashing down as he realises what he had done.

"H-Hey, don't act so rashly now... What about everything that happened between us, huh? You're just throwing it all away just because I was having a fling? You know me... What I do is nothing serious, I promise you. I still love you." Sebastian frowns before carefully sliding the woman off of his lap, turning his complete focus on you.

"Please, give me a chance, love... I'll change, you'll see. Just give me some attention too. Haven't you stopped to think that you played a part in it as well?" He asked for another chance in which you returned with silence while glancing at the woman again in disdain and pity after seeing her hesitation with progressing things further with him after your confrontation.

Realising how wrong his statement was, you glared at him before you loudly exclaimed after finding yourself slowly driven by your emotions when he remains stubborn and uncooperative. "Don't you dare include me with your disgusting actions. Everything you did are all your responsibilities. And one more thing..."

You carefully approach him before harshly hitting his cheek with the back of your hand as he was left staring at the other direction in silence as you sighed before cradling your hand. "That felt a bit better... But I'm shuddering in thinking what I had touched. You're despicable. We're nothing from now on. You're merely a stranger to me this instant."

That was his last straw as Sebastian's expression darkens and the supposed comforting aura he emitted earlier to coax you to just shrug off his action as nothing disappeared. Even the other woman is scared by him, stumbling a step back before glancing at you as if seeking for help that you ignored. Once you turned your back to him, you halt in your step before feeling your body becoming rigid after hearing the soft click of a pistol that you're awfully familiar with. It was the sound of him preparing to fire as you shakily sighed before clenching your fists, panicking internally that caused you to not clearly think of a solution to escape your risky situation.

You thought that he had been aiming for you before you slowly tried to turn to face him, hoping to ease his anger and for him to act so brash. Instead of meeting the barrel of his pistol directed at you, you were shocked and scared to see him preparing to shoot to the other woman instead. The other drunkards within the vicinity were also left scared that they weren't able to call or even help her by themselves. Before you can plead that she has nothing to do with the situation and that she's merely an equal victim of the infidelity he initiated himself, you felt warm blood splattered on your face. The liquid slowly trickled down your cheek as you stared at the corpse.

"There. Is that what you want? I still know every woman I slept with. I'll kill them all for you, just take it all back." His words were not properly registered by your mind as the loud thump of her once live body continues to echo in your mind, feeling yourself becoming nauseous after your sense of smell returned.

You felt bile ascending from your stomach to your throat as you halt its completion by covering your mouth as the establishment now reeked of death while the other patrons panicked, stopping after Sebastian releases a series of gunshots above him before you scream out. "You... Stubborn and selfish bastard...!"

He sets down his pistol with his gloved hand as you can still see the subtle smoke coming off from the nozzle of the gun, fresh of the murder he just performed. He takes the opportunity of your frozen and shocked state by immediately nearing you before you found yourself within the tight hold of his embrace. He reeks not only of blood, but along with the smell of cigarettes and alcohol as well that only made you all the more nauseous and dizzy. You almost lost your footing if not for his body supporting you before you felt a quick hit behind your head. Your body is now completely supported by his figure, lying limp on him as darkness slowly covers your vision.

"I'm sorry... I didn't mean for this to happen. I promise you... You're still the one who holds my heart. I won't just let you easily leave me. We'll get through this together, love. You'll see..." Sebastian sincerely apologised as he genuinely fears having you walk out of his life he deemed as an unacceptable consequence for his action.
