Eddie sighed and leaned against the door of his room after shutting it, he made his way to the bathroom connected to the bedroom and stared at himself in the mirror, touching the dark bruise formed around his eye, cupping his socket. He groaned and decided to go get ice for his eye. His lip was still busted and nose was red but not bruised. He groaned and grabbed a bag of frozen peas, wrapping them in thin clothes and resting it over his eye.he felt an aching pain from the bag against his eye but ignored it, knowing well that it would help the swelling and bruising.

Eddie knew that his uncle would be home soon, he was probably out shopping since it was his day off. He didn't want to deal with any type of scolding from him, so he prayed to himself that his uncle wouldn't notice, knowing fully he would. I mean, how could you not?

Eddie thought back to Steve with his eyes closed, picturing the smile that was on his face as he helped eddie. He was always told Steve was a good guy, but he was more than that. He was overly sweet and nice and caring. I mean, he picked a stranger off the ground and cleaned his wounds without a single care. He didn't care if anyone saw him, anyone laughed, or if anyone had something to say to him.

Eddie admired him for that. Then it dawned on him; there's a basketball game tonight. Steves on the basketball team. Eddie shot up from the couch, remembering the start time being 5:30. He decided he wanted to go watch, not even caring if the tickets were expensive. He smiled softly, scribbling a note for his uncle that he went to the basketball game and he'd be home at 8, grabbing his money to pay for tickets and headed off to see Steve play in the game.

As he drove, he realized how weird it was that he was going to see only one person, when he could be hanging out with the guys in hellfire. He didn't question it, just chalked it up as to him wanting a friendship or relationship with any boy who gave him attention, despite Steve being the straightest guy Eddie had ever met.

“Why am I even thinking about that.. Guy?” Eddie asked himself, the soft hum of the radio accompanying his words. It seemed like the devil and angel appeared on his shoulders

‘Because you're an attention whore. Cmon! Flirt a little, live a little!’ the devil said, rubbing his neck. The angel smacked the devil's hand.

‘Unless you wanna become a national joke, i wouldn't.’

‘Ah... but steves definitelyyyy not straight.’

Eddie just tuned it out, sighing and turning his music up. He heard the blaring of overdriven guitar one metallica song playing on the radio.

As he parked in the school parking lot no less than 5 minutes later, he let out a sigh. He questioned his sanity once again, why would he want to come to a place that's living hell to him when he didn't have to? Nevertheless, he locked his van with a loud ‘beep!’ signifying it had worked, before he began walking towards the school.

It seemed to dawn on him as he approached the doors that Jason Carver also was on the basketball team, and it stopped him in his tracks for a second. He rethought the decision for a moment, knowing if eddie wasn't outta there as soon as it ended, his ass would be beat to pulp for the second time that night.

And to Eddie, that really didn't sound fun. He almost walked back to his car, but remembered that he drove there and it  would be a waste of gas to not watch. So he opened the doors and walked to the table, paid for a ticket and took a seat next to robin, who he'd spotted in the crowd.
