Maria, Miguel, Demetri, Aisha, Hawk, and Bert were at the park, eating lunch. Maria sat on the grass, watching Hawk and Bert fight, or more accurately Hawk using Bert as a punching bag. Demetri, Miguel, and Aisha sat on a bench, in that order.

"C'mon," Demetri kept trying to get Miguel to eat his sandwich. "It'll make you feel better."

"Yeah, Mr. Grumpy Pants," Maria said to her brother, who was even more sad after what he saw at Sam's house last night. "It's her loss if she doesn't want to have the best sister in law possible - I mean the best husband ever." She corrected herself sarcastically, making Aisha laugh.

"I told you," Miguel ignored his sister and spoke straight to Demetri. "I'm not hungry."

"Ya Ya will be mad if she knows you haven't eaten all day," Maria warned, making her brother take an aggressive bite of his sandwich.

"I still think you're overreacting." Demetri added.

"I'm not overreacting, dude," Miguel replied harshly. "I know what I saw."

"Miggy, are you PMS-ing?" Maria teased her brother sarcastically, her joke making Aisha laugh again.

"Alright, so you saw her eating dinner with some chose," Hawk roundhouses Bert, making him fall to the ground. The blue haired boy walked over to where his girlfriend sat, wrapping and arm around her. "It's probably just her brother, or something."

"No," Miguel immediately denied Hawks suggestion. "Brothers don't look at their sisters that way."

"Well . . ." Maria shrugged.

"Depends on what part of the country you're in." Demetri finished for her.

"Exactly." Hawk brushed her hair from in front of her face and pecked her cheek.

"Look, I just don't want what happened to sensei to happen to me." Miguel said with finality.

"Alright, so you find this guy and beat his ass so he doesn't have a chance." Hawk shrugs like it's obvious.

"Don't listen to Eli," Demetri scoffed.

"It's Hawk," He snaps, making Maria place a hand on his back for comfort.

Demetri rolled his eyes. Maria was slightly upset with him, why couldn't he just except the fact that Eli was gone and in his place was Hawk? "Yeah, whatever. The fact is, Sam's given you no reason not to trust her."

"Yeah, I guess you're right." Miguel shrugged tiredly. Maria knew her brother didn't get much sleep last night after seeing the boy at Sam's house.

The group sat quietly for a moment, Hawk running his hand up and down Maria's back absentmindedly. She loved how they were so close to where they would kiss and touch each other without even realizing it.

"Oh, that little bitch!" Aisha snarls, making Maria get to her feet to see what the girl was so upset about.

"What?"

They all leaned over her shoulder to see what was distressing Aisha so much. "You know that video I posted of me breaking the board?" Maria nodded, of course she knew. She was the one holding the board. "Look what Yasmine commented!"

Maria felt her insides churn when she saw the comment. Impressive . . . I'm surprised the belt fit around your waist. And look everyone! The whore is now screwing four people!

"You okay?" Hawk places his hand on her tailbone as he whispered in Maria's ear.

"Fine," She replied, trying not to let the anger show on her face.

"Oh, we have to do something!" Aisha looked up at Maria angrily, and the girl nodded in reply.

"How about we kidnap her, and get my boy Rico to tattoo 'bitch' on her face?" Hawk suggests, making Maria smile.

"Rico wouldn't do that. He might do 'whore' though." Maria noted, remembering the man that gave her the tattoo.

"Easy there, Hawk." Demetri said his name like it was poison rolling off his tongue.

"Alright, I hear how you're saying it, and I don't like it." Hawk glared at Demetri.

"Wait, wait, wait," Aisha waved a hand at the three of them. "Look." Maria looked over her shoulder once again to see Yasmine's post about her VIP birthday party at the canyon.

"Why does her birthday matter?" Miguel asked, staring at the picture.

"It's her party," Maria shares a mischievous grin with Aisha, both girls thinking the same thing.

"Not if we strike first." Aisha finishes with a smile.

"Alright," Aisha said to everyone as they raided the mini-mart in the same strip small as their dojo. "Be sure to stock up good. I'm inviting everyone. VIP only, my ass."

Maria checked out with her millions of cans of Pringles and a few six packs of soda for the DD's.

"I still don't understand how we're going to get alcohol," Demetri said as he flipped through a playboy magazine. Maria carried her bag over to him, ripping the magazine out of his hands and giving him a stern look when he tried to grab it again.

"Never underestimate the power of the Hawk," Maria's boyfriend said, winking at her. She felt butterflies twirl in her stomach.

Aisha, Demetri, Bert, and Maria went to the back of the store, pretending not to look suspicious. Maria looked at a bunch of sunglasses, trying them on absentmindedly. Aisha pretended to be looking at snacks as she watched Hawk from the corner of her eye. Demetri and Bert flipped through magazines like it was the most interesting thing in the world.

"'Sup," Hawk said as he placed the beer and a few containers of chip dip on the counter. Maria stared at her boyfriend from the mirror. "Catch the game last night? See Puig with the walk off?" His voice was cool, and in a way seductive to Maria.

"Nah, man, but I heard he flipped the bat to the moon." The cashier answered.

"Yeah," Hawk continued in the same tone. "I was at the bar last night with some buddies from work. Whole place went wild."

"I wanted to go, but my girlfriend dragged me to some lame-ass play." The cashier said, disappointment evident on his face.

"Bitches will be bitches," Hawk said cooly, and Maria coughed loudly, telling him he'd be punished for that. Hawk ignored her and leaned on the counter. "So, how much is it going to cost?"

"Gotta check your ID first, man." He says seriously.

Hawk chuckles. "I'm flattered," When the cashier shows no sign of amusement, Hawk scoffs. "Do you really think I'm underage? That's my frickin' kid right there." He points over his shoulder at Bert, who looks slightly confused.

"I still need to see," The cashier insisted. "It's required by law."

Hawk stood a little straighter. "Sure, just, uh, upholding the law." He handed the man his fake ID, and he hesitated before telling him the price. Hawk looked back at the group, excited.

Maria gave him a stern look, but not even she could dim his happiness right then. "And, uh, how about eight bottles of that vodka right there."

Maria smirked. This was definitely going to be a party to remember.
