*Warning* Okay so this chapter is the party so it will have a little bit of smut in it. You probably should read this chapter though, and just skip over the parts that make you uncomfortable.
Maria could tell that her brother was becoming more and more upset with every passing minute that Sam didn't reply to him. She and Hawk stayed beside him, drinking beer at a steady pace and trying to make him feel better.
"Maybe her phone died, man." Hawk suggested.
"Yeah, whatever," Miguel grumbled. "Let's just get the party started without her."
"I think thats already been done, Miggy." Maria callas after her brother as he gets a beer from one of the many coolers.
The party had started, and the sun was begining to set. There were lots people, dancing and drinking and having a good time. Maria was one of the people dancing. She moved to every song, twirling her body around and around, twerking a little here and there.
"Babe, come dance with me . . ." Maria drawled, calling over to where Aisha, Hawk and Miguel sat on a log, the second watching her with an uncontrollable smirk on his face.
Hawk downed the rest of the beer in his solo cup. "Yes, ma'am."
Maria knocked her hips from side to side, swaying her arms above her. Hawk waved his body in front of hers, slowly lowering himself until his head was lined up with her chest. The music continued to play and Hawk tried to steal a kiss, but Maria pushed him away, sending him a smirk as she slowly danced away from him.
Hawk chuckled to himself and weaved through the people, trying to get to Maria. She waved her hands for him to come and catch her, but she kept moving away as well.
"Well, I'm not going to sit here and watch my friends dirty dance," Aisha gets to her feet. "And neither are you." She pulls Miguel off of the log and he grumbles in protest. "Come on! The All Valley's tomorrow, we're at a party for crying out loud!"
Aisha starts to dance horribly, and Miguel laughs at her. That was the reaction she was hoping to get. "Now, come on, dance with me!"
Miguel slowly moved his feet back and forth, but before he knew it he was swaying to the music right beside Aisha.
It started to get dark, and Miguel was way drunk. Aisha had lifted his spirits for a moment, but that ended quickly when he remembered Sam.
"Miguel, maybe you should slow down on the drinks," The African American girl said as he crushed his solo cup in his hand and threw it on the ground.
Miguel walked backwards towards the cooler, talking to Aisha as he spoke. "I'm fine, Aisha." He was far from it, and she could tell by the way he stumbled over nothing and slurred his words.
He opened the cooler and Aisha knew there were no more drinks by the way Miguel stared at the emptiness as if one would appear if he looked hard enough.
"Oh, we're all out of Mr. Pibbs," Demetri said from a few feet away from the cooler. "I got the last one."
If looks could kill, Demetri would be dead because the glare Miguel gave him was so sharp, it could cut ice.
Maria and Hawk sat on the log a few feet from the fire, their limbs tangled together, his hand lost in her hair as he held her face close to his, and both smelling strongly of the other. Maria broke the kiss with a smile on her face.
