Vecna strikes again

I sigh as I wake up. Eddie and I had sex last night. I wake up pressed against him in a boat with a tarp over us. It is not comfortable at all in that thing. I climb out hoping not to wake him and I stretch out. Last night was rough. I sit by the water and fix my hair as best as I can in the reflection. I hear Eddie start to move around in the boat and wake up while groaning.

"Fuck it was a dream," he mumbles and starts to get up "mother fucker."

I giggle a little as he climbs out to look around "what was a dream, Eddie?"

He smiles and walks over kissing my cheek. We stare at each other until we hear a car pull up. We run over to the window as Eddie starts to curse at himself. We look outside until we jump at the door opening. Eddie hides me behind him until he realizes it's the gang. he sighs relieved and I release the breath I didn't know I was holding in.

"Delivery service," Dustin smiles at us and Eddie sits down on the boat and grabs a box of cereal and a yoohoo.

"So, we've got some good news and some bad news. Which do you prefer?"

Eddie looks at Dustin while stuffing his face, "bad news first, always," and I nod agreeing with him.

"Alright so, bad news. We tapped into the Hawkins PD dispatch with our Cerebro, and they're definitely looking for you. Also, they're uh, pretty convinced you killed Chrissy."

Max steps in, "Like 100% kind of convinced."

I sigh and put my face in my hands. While Eddie asks for the good news. Robin looks over and explains that Eddie's name hasn't gone public yet but it's only a matter of time before his name spreads like wildfire.

"Jesus Christ this is awful," I groan and keep my face in my hands "this is fucking horrible."

Eddie looks over at me with a face saying that I am not helping the situation and Dustin tries to make him feel a little better by saying all we have to do is kill Vecna.

"Thats all we have to do," Eddies voice is laced with sarcasm as Dustin just nods.

While we are talking about how everyone excluding me has been through something like this before we hear the wail of sirens. Eddie throws the tarp over himself as we run over to the windows to see cops and ambulances drive past the building.

The group says we have to check things out, so we start to head out. I quickly walk over to Eddie, and I kiss him before I walk back to Max and Robin. They look at me confused. 

"Dont. I'll explain later," I say quickly.

We start to drive down the road when Dustin looks at me, "what was that lovey session for?"

I roll my eyes and laugh a little, "it was nothing now shut up."

Robin looks back at me and smirks, "okay he might have asked me to be his girlfriend last night, so what?"

Steve curses and digs into his pocket to give Dustin money.

Dustin takes it and smirks, "see I told you this would happen!"

I look at Dustin in shock, did they have a bet that Eddie and I would get together? I slap the back of Dustin and Steves head before we pull up to the crime scene. We climb out of the car to see Nancy standing, talking to some cops. She waves and finishes talking to the police. She gets in the car, and we drive to Max's house.

We sit outside at a table and start talking about what killed Fred and Chrissy.

I zone out and I start to think about how Vecna could be real. It is a made-up character in a board game. The more I think about it, the dumber it gets. I get pulled from my trance when I hear them say my sisters name.

"Maybe they did. I saw Chrissy leave Ms. Kelly's office. if you saw a monster you wouldn't go to the police. They'd never believe you."

I start to think back, "Chrissy told me what she had saw and I didn't believe her. I just thought she was sick or something. If you were seeing things, then you would tell your shrink. So, let's go find that shrink."

We start to walk off towards the cars. Nancy and Robin end up splitting up so it's me, Dustin, Steve, and Max. While Steve starts up the car, he complains about being the babysitter all the time, until we drive off.
