i believe you // Eddie Munson x Reader

(Y/n), this is for you.

(Eddie's POV)

I paddle as fast as I can while looking back at the bats chasing me. Is (Y/n) okay? Is Dustin, okay? They better not have followed me. They both will die. I look forward and breathe heavily while moving my hair out of my face.

"Come get me you sons of bitches!"

I try to turn but end on falling off. I gasp and quickly scramble up off the ground and start running. I can't be the hero. I have to run. But isn't that what I always do? Run away? I start to slow down then come to a complete stop before I look around at the bats fly in circles towards me.  (Y/n), this is for you.

I take my sword out and my shield before screaming as the bats fly at me. As they fly past me, they start to swarm around me. This isn't going to end well at all. Please Jesus, let my love and the baby be alright. I start to hit at the bats that fly at me. I keep screaming as I hit them. The more they come at me. The better I get at bringing them to the ground. 

I gasp and drop everything I have while a bat wraps around my neck. I grab at my neck and my legs get knocked out from under me. My legs are pinned to the ground while I keep trying to get the bat off of my neck. 

I look down as two bats land by my stomach. I shake my head and feel them start to bite my stomach. I scream as loud as I can and move around as much as I can. Please let this be a nightmare. I don't want to die. I don't want to leave (Y/n) alone. I cry out and keep trying to save myself for what feels like hours until the ones flying fall and the ones eating my flesh stop. I breathe heavily while my hands fall to my side. I feel weak. I feel tired. There is blood pouring from my mouth. 

I hear Dustin screaming for me. They must be okay. I smile and look up at the sky trying to listen for (Y/n), but I don't. Dustin falls by me and tries to carry me.

'Come on, we are going to get you to a hospital."

I nod and try to sit up, but I can't, "I'm just going to stay here for a bit."

Dustin looks out towards (Y/n)'s house and whimpers.

"You have to walk to at least the house. (Y/n) is there. I don't know how she is dude. I couldn't get her out and she still is in there."

I nod while holding my stomach. Dustin stands me up slowly and we start to walk. Robin, Steve and Nancy come over while helping Dustin take me. I cough a little while holding my stomach tighter. I hear Robin yell out (Y/n)'s name as we walk into the house and upstairs. Thats when I see her. Her bones are snapped. I can hear her struggling while whispering things to herself.

"Please be okay. Eddie please be okay. Oh god I can't see anything."

Robin gets on the other side and puts the mattress back in place. Steve goes then they slowly get me up and out. 

"(Y/n) I'm here my love."

"Eddie. Please help me. I can't see or feel anything," she cries and when I look at her closer, there is blood dripping down her cheeks and her eyes are ghostly white. I Put my hand on her face and shake my head. I sit up and as much as it hurts, I do not care; I just want to be here for my (Y/n).

"It's going to be okay; Dustin is calling an ambulance, they will be here soon, just hanging on for me." 

She shakes her head and cries, "Eddie, I don't want to die. I'm not ready. Please."

I start to cry as her breath becomes slow and shallow. I start to scream out and cry as she stops breathing. My (Y/n) is gone.

I lay down next to (Y/n) and look up at the sky while holding my stomach. I pray that I am next. I want to be with her forever, even if that means dying. 

I hear the sound of ambulances in the distance until I close my eyes and pass out.
