Dear Chrissy

I get out of the car as we pull up to Copperfield. I start to walk off until Steve stops me to tell me if anything happens, he is coming over right away. I sigh and nod before walking over to Chrissy's newly dug grave and headstone. I sit down on a pile of dirt and start to play with it before I open the letter.

"Chrissy, I am so sorry that I couldn't have been there for when you died. We know what did it though and we are trying to stop it from hurting anyone else. I miss you so much and I know we didn't always get along, but I do love you so much. I wish you were here so I could tell you everything. I will be with you soon though since I am next. I have seen things, and now i know what you meant by the awake nightmares. I am so sorry. I have always felt like I was second to you and everyone wanted the queen of Hawkins Chrissy Cunningham, and not the outcast (Y/n) Cunningham. I guess I can tell you about how I am dating Eddie 'The Freak' Munson that we knew in middle school. He was the one in corroded coffin that I liked until the summer of 9th grade. I liked him for so long and you would always tell me to tell him and talk to him, but I just couldn't bring myself to do it, but now we are together, Chris. Well, I guess to sum things up, I am just sorry that I wasn't there that night, i love you and i miss you."

I wipe tears off my face, and I fold the note back up then dig a hole to put the letter in. I cover it and I look up to see dark clouds now covering the sky. Shit it's going to rain, but it was just sunny a few seconds ago? A dark mist covers the ground and rumbling of the leaves can be heard. I stand up slowly and I look over once I hear my sister's voice. It's happening.

"(Y/n), I've been waiting to hear those words. For so long, I always knew that you were below me and trying to be me. I always found it to be very funny how hard you would try. Our mother and father would make me be nice to you. It should have been you the whole time, but it was me. And now you will pay for that." I start to back away as she walks closer to me. She is in her cheer uniform with blood running down her cheeks and out of her mouth.

I keep walking back until I fall on my back. I look up again to see a creature. its Vecna. I gasp and start to move back, hoping to get away from him as soon as possible. I start running away, praying I could get away from this living nightmare.

"It's time, (Y/n). Time for you, to join me. You cannot run or hide from me."

I breathe heavily and I start screaming hoping someone will hear me and drag me out of this. I want to go home.

"Max! Dustin! HELP ME, PLEASE!"

I want to be with Eddie, away from everything and just alone together. I start crying again and I keep screaming until I see red clouds forming ahead. I breathe heavily and start running to stay away from Vecna.

I stop running and I catch my breath while walking around. I look down to see blood everywhere and random pieces of wood and interior of a house. It's like he has his own world, I start to walk closer to things that are coming out of the ground. I hear the clock again as I walk past a staircase that leads to nothing. I walk over to pillars coming out of the ground till I hear Vecna again, asking what I am doing.

I breathe heavily and step on white dots. I look down to see they are spider eggs and spiders are crawling out of them. I start to walk backwards until I almost run into one of the pillars. I turn quickly to see my sister's body. I gasp and walk away from it, not able to look away.

"Chrissy," I whisper and keep staring at her until I hear Vecna coming up behind me. I turn quickly to face him, and I try to act as tough as possible, but I can't. I am so scared right now. All i can think to do is just run. I start to run away until something wraps around my ankle sending me to the ground.

"No! Please," I claw at the ground and try to get away.

"You try to run from your problems, (Y/n)," he lifts his hand and pushes me against one of the pillars, my hands go flying against each side slimy ropes wrap around my wrists and my neck. I look up and gasp while trying to calm down and not lose all my breath. Vecna starts to walk closer, and I look at him. I stare at him terrified until I hear the sound of Enter Sandman from a distance. I look over Vecna's shoulder to see Max, Steve, Lucas and Dustin screaming my name and telling me to wake up.

"They can't help you, (Y/n), they are far too late. It's a shame that Munson boy you call your boyfriend isn't here to watch this. But you belong here. With me."

"You're not really here," I breathe heavily and struggle to get out of these vines.

"Oh, but I am (Y/n). I am," he lifts his hand and hovers it above my head causing my body in the actual world to float up. The gang starts to scream in defeat. This is it for me, I am going to die. I whimper and close my eyes while thinking about Eddie and DND. I think back to that day that we met for real and the time in the woods. I have to get out of here, for Eddie. I whip my hand free, and I pull some of Vecna's skin off causing me to hit the floor. I look up quickly and start to get out of floor. I look back and I start to run towards the group.

I have to get out to see Eddie again, I run, and I look up to see rocks falling and almost hitting me. I stare at the gang while I run for my life. I can't let this be the end. I am far too young. I keep running until I reach the portal.

I feel myself falling to the ground. I breathe heavily and look around quickly. I am free, I am out. I start to cry while Steve hugs me.

"Oh my god! I'm here. Oh my god."

I close my eyes again and I catch my breath still shocked. I almost just died. I grab Steves arm and look at everyone, unable to think or speak anymore. Max hugs me and I grab her hand while calming down. After a while I relax on Steve and calm down.
