Never would I realize that in 3 days would be one of the worst days of my life.

One Year Ago

"Kang Eunjin, Will you marry me?" The love of my life kneeled down right in front of me. I can't lie that I was speechless. This was the moment. The moment I waited for, for years on end being with 'the one'. He was the one.

"Sungho! This is the moment???" I squealed in excitement. As I jumped up and down. I couldn't believe it.

All he does is smile seeing my happiness. I was so excited that I almost forgot to say yes. As he was just there kneeling, waiting for my response.

"Yes! Yes!" I smiled holding my arms out for him to hug me. Which he does with a tight embrace, kissing my lips before sliding the diamond ring on my finger.

"Thank you for this, Love." He smiles as he stares into my eyes. These last three years has been so worth it. He's made me the happiest I've ever been.

Soon we continue our dinner. Proposal on a wooden balcony overlooking the skyline of Seoul. As it was our usual date although much fancier than I anticipated. As there was also no one around besides the staff, and the customers but all were inside or the restaurant. He probably rented the space. I'm so stupid to not notice.

Sungho surprised me with a small trip after the proposal. Which things started to change slowly but surely.

It was only three months later that we started to plan for the wedding. We decided on some simple things which were honeymoon, guests, and budget.

As I was making the list of things to do. I realized it was a much bigger process than I thought. I mean I knew weddings are hard to plan and take time but I underestimated it.

"Hey, Sungho?" I called out loudly so he could hear me through his headphones. He was sitting on the couch on his phone, I on the dining table with my journal.

He pulls his headset to the side to hear me, "Yeah?"

"I think we need a wedding planner." I said sheepishly, scratching my head.

"Yeah, whatever to help you. I'll talk to my parents about it." Help me? Was I going to just do this whole thing by myself? I can't do that.

"Aren't you going to help me?" I asked politely.

"I'm paying for majority of it. Our families can help you. I'm going to be useless working all the time. I'll do whatever you want to do."

"But-" Then I was cut off by him. Slightly taken aback.

"Eunjin, I think paying for it is enough on my part. I'm already working for this apartment and our expenses." Was he blind? I have a job and pay my part of the bills. Sure, our parents are paying for half of the wedding, but also he offered to pay the other half. Although that doesn't mean he shouldn't just give some insight.

I guess it works out if he really doesn't care. Overall I do need professional help because family can only do so much, plus his family doesn't really like me so they are out of the question.

"Ok then," I don't say much and continue to do my thing.

"He said that?" My best friends said to me in disbelief.

"Look honey, you can't do this by yourself. If we are talking about family, driving to your parents place and back is wasting gas and in the way. We can help you but we are also busy with our own things."

"I know Jimin, that's why I am getting a wedding planner to help me out. It's too stressful." I sigh taking a sip of my cold brew. Slowly sulking into the metal chair. Then I feel someone take my hand.

"Eunjin, we would drop anything for you, if you need help text us, we make time for the people we love." Wheein says with a small smile.

"We got your back, but I do want to see that ring again. Can I?" Joshua pulls his hand out, as you gently rest his hand on his as he takes another good look at it again.

"Dang, my bestie got lucky," Joshua laughs teasing. I slap his hand after I pulled away.

"I was joking! Who made you this lunch today? I did." I just laugh, this was Joshua's small cafe business, called the 'Seventeenth Cafe' apparently he based it off of his favorite number. As we all mainly meet up here because of convenience.

Although we all do different professions. Jimin being a Choreographer for K-pop idols. Wheein a Personal Secretary for a famous CEO. Joshua, running his long dream of owning a cafe. Me, a Photographer, I am put where I am needed. Whether is being an assistant, or taking the photos.

They have all been my friends since high school. We've been a group for too long. Was there for me since I can remember. I am closest to Joshua the most, I think cause we have the most free time on our hands. He taught me a lot on how to cook and also sing, he has such a gentle voice. Having a karaoke machine in the corner of the room.

Wheein is really the definition of a girlfriend, a sister I never had. Unlike the boys we take any chance to do girly things. It is hard though because she is the busiest. She did come from a poorer family, working her ass off to get where she is.

Jimin, is one of those that keeps us in check, but always sweet and caring. Sungho has been jealous of Jimin sometimes. I think it's kinda hilarious although, we've always had our boundaries and have that sibling energy. Jimin is 100% protective, personally doesn't like Sungho but respected my decision seeing how much he made me happy.

Soon we continue to catch up as usual. Laughing and enjoying each others company.
