Eunjin POV
I closed the door after a long day. I sighed for a second in relief, long days do that to you. I look up to see Sungho on the couch watching tv. I hear my heart thump loudly. Louder.
Swallowing my saliva, I take off my shoes, thump, louder. Heart racing.
Louder.
Louder.
Louder.
"Eunjin?"
"Shit." I curse under my breath. My head tilted down I stare at the floor to respond, "Yeah?"
"Come watch with me." Now my eyes turn to him. He's smiling lightly, legs crossed, arm around the back of the couch inviting me in.
I shake my head, clearing out my jumbled thoughts. I smile trying to make my voice gentle as if I wasn't just startled, "Yeah...yeah.. just-just let me get a snack." Stop stuttering, you're ok.
"Alright, you ok?" I hear him yell, since I have my back turned to him.
No, "Yeah, I'm fine." I didn't hear him after that, expected him to probably nod on my response.
I rest in his arms. Getting comfortable I take a deep breath.
"It's Itaewon Class, if you were wondering." We look up to each other at the same time. He smiles, I reciprocate.
Around 30 minutes pass by then he speaks, "I'm sorry for these last couple of weeks."
All you could hear was the tv. I stay silent, hearing him out, and awkwardly grabbing chips in the process.
"I've been a dick to you. It's not fair but I miss you. Us. I was hurting you but I was only doing that because I thought I was right.
I speak, where was he going with this? "Do you still think it was right?"
"I did my best that's all that matters. I tried, I'll do better, ok?" He gives a regretful glance to me.
At this point I escaped his hold to face him. All of him. His pulled back black hair, brown eyes, and firm build. Not just what I fell for physically but mentally.
What to say? I wasn't prepared for this. Shit man. I stare at him deeply. I trust him always have, so do I trust him to make it right this time?
This was a shit apology but I'll take his word for it, "Ok."
"Ok?"
"Yeah, I don't completely forgive you although I take your word for it when you say you'll do better." I just need time.
"But what about-"
"But what?"
He bites his lips holding back something, "Never mind, so we past it?"
There was silence for a moment. "Sure." I smile. He smiles too.
Morning, I blink a couple of times to wake up, I look over to not see Sungho beside me. I guess he left early for work.
As I am putting my clothes on I hear him call my name, "Babe, breakfast is ready."
"Coming!" I grab my bag, seeing my future husband put the morning meal on the table. This is super thoughtful haven't saw this type of scene in a while, if anything never.
"Thank you?" I suspiciously said with a small smile and a weird look on my face.
He sits down and as I am too he responds, "I guess this is my way of trying to make you forgive me."
I nod approvingly, we catch up some missed moments before heading to work.
-
"Soobin! Small mocha latte with coconut milk and less ice!" Joshua yells while Soobin responds with a thumbs up.
I walk in for a morning coffee. I see the two swiftly moving along as they keep up with orders. There was a couple people in front of me. I think this is the busiest they've ever been.
"You guys seem busy," I noted when it was my time to order.
Joshua gives a light smile, "Yeah I guess so, if we are getting business like this I should hire more, although we have a new trainer coming in tomorrow. Supposedly Soobin's friend." He shrugs, "I talked to him he's kinda quirky but a good kid so."
"That's good, will be nice to have some more help right?"
"Right, anyways what would you like Eunjin? The usual?"
"Yeah that would be great," I smile giving a pat on his shoulder before moving to pick up area.
"Eunjin?!" Soobin calls out.
"Thanks Bin," He nods before going back to making drinks.
"Oh Eunjin, I hope you can meet my friend he's funny, please come by sometime," He doesn't even realize he's doing puppy eyes.
"Of course I will," He lights up like a child. I shake my head going to work.
-
I was in a dressing room for idols that get ready for their photoshoot. I am not the one to dress them or a stylist so I just sat in a corner on my phone until they needed to shoot.
"Hey, Eunjin!" I turn around to see Jennie running up to me.
"What's up?" I smile when she sits next to me.
"How have you been? Minghao and I have been worried about you." She frowns.
I smile reassuringly, "I'm fine we made up so," I shrug my shoulders.
She rubs my shoulder, "Ok, but do you want to go out again?"
"Yeah, of course," I smile.
"Open next week 4pm Mall?" Jennie suggests.
I check my schedule on my phone, "Yeah, I think that works."
"Awesome."
"Jennie, Eunjin, we need help here." We hear our manager calling us, so we get up to leave.
"Oh, and before I forget, bring your other friends I want to get to know them more especially that guy," She takes a minute to process the name, "Jimin, right!"
I slap her shoulder, "Girl! I didn't know you were attracted to him."
She laughs, "I mean how can you not? He's hot."
She's not wrong, but I forget that I see him as my brother and others think differently. This was definitely shocking though.
"You've guys met like twice?" I questioned.
The brunette gives a little head shake of 'kinda?' "I was able to talk to him from the times you've invited him." I shake my head.
"Jeez, Jennie."
We just laugh it off.
