Architect of paradise (PART I: Out of the Ruins)

6. Festival

These days I am really angry and troubled. I work with a lot of nerve and boldness. My moves are jerky. Mr. Maxwell can't understand why I am so edgy. I can't explain it myself. While I was cutting a piece of wood too deep, Mr. Maxwell beat a metal pipe to draw my attention.

-"Focus on your job, otherwise you can leave!" I clench my hands. I know that I am anxious and not calm. I know that Mr. Maxwell is not on the wrong, but I am really annoyed.

-"You can't fix your love life, if you don't fix your life." He says. I wrinkle my eyebrows.

-"I don't understand."

-"Hmm." He shrieks with sarcasm. 

     I continue my work but with me continue my annoyance. I haven't gone to the library but when I meet her by accident she doesn't look at me in the eyes or she changes her way. While we were working at her house, she just left without a word.

-"My friend, I don't know if you are lucky or unlucky. You laughed at me all the time, but now you are trapped in a love." Tony says that while we are drinking beers at the cafeteria.

-"Stop kidding me."

-"Then, how do you explain your attitude the past few days?"

-"I am just annoyed that a woman rejects me." I drink my beer in one go.

-"Look. Samantha is so eager to be with me."

-"Then, date Samantha." I don't say anything. I just get up and go to the bar.

Samantha is really beautiful. She has long curly hair, big brown eyes and a sexy mole on the top of her upper lip. She wears modern and sexy clothes and she is really friendly and social person.

-"I want another glass of beer." She smiles at me and fills in my glass.

-"Did you adapt well?"

-"Yes. I am okay."

-"I'm glad."

-"How do you spend your free time here?" I ask.

-"After work, I just stay home or I go out with friends in Harrisonburg."

-"Do you have company?"

-"Some girls from the town."

-"What about boys?"

-"Yes, with boys too, but I don't have a serious relationship."

-"Why? You are really beautiful and smart."

-"Well, I didn't find the right one." I wrinkle my eyebrows. What is happening to everyone and they are looking for their right one.

-"On the other hand, I just want to enjoy life." I am really clear right now. I think, she understands.

While I flirt with Samantha, Jimmy Lake and Harry Barton are sitting in a table near the bar. While drinking beers, they talk about their news.

-"So did you have a progress with Mars?" 

    I freeze in that name.

-"Well, she is playing hard to get, but I will make her mine," Harry says and my hand clenches the glass.

-"What do you think of her?" asks Jimmy.

-"I think she has experience and she just plays with me." Harry says and laughs.

-"Then, you should succeed soon."

-"They are assholes." Samantha whispers.

-"You know the new face?" I ask her.
