Addie is not in Green Hill these days. She went in Richmond for some work. I didn't think that now that the library is closed, our gang will not meet. I thought that we could meet in some other place but I was wrong. Simon and Andrea went to the organization and Steven returned to his town. I could only go back home.
When I got inside, I saw that we had a visitor. I didn't know him but Mrs. Locust was talking to him with ease so I realized that he was from Green Hill. He was a young man around thirties. He was thin and quite tall. He was wearing a suit. They had tea together while they were talking about some boring things about Mrs. Locust's fields.
When she realized that I returned, she welcomed me as always and she went to prepare my lunch. She was too excited and I immediately realized that I was the opportunity she asked for getting away from her irritating visitor. The man realized that he couldn't stay anymore and he left.
-"What is going on?" I ask.
-"Nothing important, my dear." She answers.
After lunch, I called Steven. We didn't meet after school so I wanted to hear him. Addie was right. I fell in love with a good boy and I must try hard to be at his level. I really like him and I wish we could be together for a long time. I know that we can be together for at least one more year. After that, he will leave this town to study medicine. He has plans and some dreams but I don't know what I want to do yet.
In the afternoon, I wanted to go for a walk. I am alone. Steven and the others are my only friends. I was a lonely type back in the big city. The girls in this place have other interests. At school, I hear them talk about fashion, boys and gossips. It is the same with the girls from the city. However, I don't want to do that.
I am a more athletic type and I like suspense and adventure. I like talking about sports, comics and non-important things. I am the complete opposite of Steven. He talks all the time about his studies in medicine and his words can teach you something important about life. On the other hand, I am in the same wavelength with Simon. Nevertheless, I chose Steven as my boyfriend.
Right now, I am walking in town and watching the small shops. There is a little park near school and there are some boys there playing basketball or talking. I pass over and I just walk. It is really boring. I could visit Andrea. She is the other girl of our company but she is like Justin. She likes reading books and studying.
I see that there are black clouds on the sky. It is going to rain again so I should go home. I would do a long walk until I return.
While I was going back home, I noticed a figure in the small hill at the entrance of the town. It was the figure of a girl sitting on the ground and using her legs as table, I think, she was painting in a block while watching the horizon. I could only see her back so I didn't know who that was. Thus, I didn't pay any more attention.
When I got inside my house, it started raining. I was really lucky. In my room, I sit on my bed and I read some comics while I take a peak outside the rain. In my mind came the figure of that girl and I was wondering, if she managed to return home without getting wet.
In the morning, I thought that it would be another boring day. After the first class, I proposed to the others to do something together. However, Simon and Andrea had a date and Justin was waiting to receive the call from the contest. I looked at Steven with an endearing gaze. He smiled and nodded. I was happy.
We went for a walk as we were holding hands. It was embarrassing and a girly thing, but I didn't hate it. I could feel his warm and big hand and it was reassuring. We didn't say much. We talk about Justin's contest or Simon and Andrea's relationship. We even talk about New Leaf. We arrived at the entrance of the town. We went down the hill and we found a big tree. Steven used his jacket and we sat on it. I was in his arms as we were just sitting there.
