We arrived at Green Hill early in the morning. I drove a lot of hours while it was still dark so we can arrive so early. I was not alone in the car. Beside me there was a man around fifty. He was thin and somewhat bald. In his hands there was the report of my project plan. He is the contractor who took over the project of the natural park in the area. He was coming to make some evaluations of the terrain and the environment so he can bring his construction team later. I was his guide.
Of course, my project was approved from the state. They agreed to finance the whole project. It took two or three days for the bureaucracy to be complete and now I was returning with the lead contractor. It has become reality.
While we were on the road, we talked a lot about my plan and I told him my ideas with more details. My report was pretty detail but I was so excited to explain to him my whole vision that I talked non-stop. He took part in the conversation. He talked about his own ideas and proposals without seeing the actual place. He was professional.
When we arrived in town, our first stop was at the Town Hall. I introduced him to Mr. Jackson and of course, I informed the major about the results of the meeting with the government members. He was really happy and he was willing to guide the contractor to the area. After that, I returned home.
Alice should be at school. I was tired after all this driving so I wouldn't work at the library. I just slept. I was so tired that I slept almost all day. When I woke up, Alice was at home. She prepared coffee and we sat to chat about my meeting. I was so excited that I talk too much and too fast but she was listening to me attentively.
-"Good work, my dear friend! You did it." She said in the end.
Yes, I did it. I managed to do a very good thing. Now the next step was to inform the whole area about the construction. I talked really big at the Spring Festival and now I could inform people that everything would be okay.
Later, the same day, I phoned Daniel. He arrived really quickly. The first thing he did was to hug me tightly and kissing me passionately.
-"I was away only four days."
-"It seemed to be four years."
-"You are exaggerating!"
He kissed me again and again while I was trapped in his hug. After that, we went to the cafeteria. We ordered some drinks. Samantha welcomed me back with a warm smile while she looked at Daniel cunningly. I told him everything that took place in Washington and of course the approval of my project in the end.
-"You are shining." He said at one point. I blushed. It was true that I was happy and excited but he was exaggerating.
I spent the night at his house. We didn't sleep the whole night. He was so eager and passionate. It seemed that he was enduring all these four days without me. I was happy that he needed me. I was happy that he missed me. I was so insecure at the beginning. I thought that it was only a temporary affair. However, he seems to care about me. I was really happy these days.
The next morning, I returned home to change clothes and go to the library. Mr. Jackson and the contractor came together. Today, they were going to visit the other two villages. He seemed really optimistic about the terrain in Green Hill and he gave a lot of hope. My day started really well.
At noon, the usual teenagers came at the library. They welcomed me and of course I noticed the new romantic relationship that had developed.
-"I was away only for four days. You are really great." I said to Justin and he blushed.
-"Tell me about it! It is Justin, the most frozen iceberg of the world, but Maggie has mellowed him." Jane joked and everybody laughed while Justin was blushing.
