Architect of paradise (PART I: Out of the Ruins)

39. Last meeting and promise

     Mrs. Gilberts is set to organize a big graduation ceremony. She is really happy because a big percentage of the third grade students passed their exam to their school of choice, even if it was a university, or a technical school. 

       Between them, there were those who worked hard to succeed and strive for a bright future. They overcame the obstacles and tried to grab the opportunity to define their own future. She wants to make known that hard-working, patience and determination are the only weapons of these youths to make their dream come true.

She wants to make known that poverty and lack of education resources are not obstacles when someone is determined. The live examples are these youths. Justin Andrews passed his exam with a very high grade and he met the conditions of a very important scholarship to one of the best universities of east U.S.A.

     Steven Charles also managed to meet the conditions of a very difficult scholarship program to a very famous and prestigious university, so he can be a doctor. 

   Margaret Belt is a talented and capable young girl who could have a very bright future with her talent. She also grabbed the opportunity and won her scholarship to one of the best Fine Arts School.

    Simon Spencer. A known troublemaker, a confused youth who almost was lost in some bad circumstances made up his mind. He changed his way of thinking and decided that he wanted a bright future too, but to have it, he had to struggle with something he was not familiar with. He had to change his whole way of life and he managed to do it. He was going to be a police officer in the future.

     For those who couldn't overcome the technical problems. For those who didn't succeed to grab something important, there is always some people who wants to help. There people who can make their dreams come true. For that reason, the new charity organization is going to give two scholarships to these hard-working youths to praise their trying and hard-work. 

     One of these scholarships is going to be given to Andrea Walls so she can be a gentle teacher who can educate the next generation of youths and give them their own opportunity to build a new bright world.

     Mrs. Gilberts and Mr. Arnolds congratulated those who tried hard and succeeded to take part in this beautiful educating journey. Between them, Jane Taylor managed to gain the points to study at one of the best university of New York, at the Humanities.

Many students took their school certificate and a special credit for their hard work in front of their families and countrymen. The whole town was proud of them. They were proud of their children who were the future of this place. After the graduation ceremony, the school organized a big party to celebrate the end of the school year and the beginning of the new life for most of its students.

Even though, I was really busy, I wouldn't miss this scene. Their smiles and happiness make me feel so warm inside me. These rebellious and carefree youths are going to have a bright future and they strived for it themselves.

The company of six comes to me with their drinks and their happy smiles.

-"We did it!!!" Jane shouts and the rest of them laugh.

-"Yes, you did. I am proud of you. You were perfect."

-"You are so sweet today. Well, it is going to be a little while before you get rid of us. We will torture you for the summer." Jane jokes. I can see her happiness. This young lady had no dreams when she came in Green Hill. She was a troublemaker and now she looks really satisfied with her choice and achievements.

-"My mother didn't believe it when I send her the answer of the college." Jane says and smiles cunningly.

-"Well, who would believe it?" Justin teases her.
