For a week, he ignored me. I tried to talk to him and explain my point of view. I tried to make him understand that he is a very important person in my life and I really love him. At the same time, I try to open my wings to the world and do something that it was my dream and that is to make this world a little better. I was really sad when he ignored me and my heart was in pain. I tried to keep my tears hidden so he won't feel pressured or disgusted of me. He was really stubborn.

At the end of the week, Alice organized a meeting with other women so we can drink and have fun. Lily and Samantha were invited and the new inhabitants, the police officer, Stacey Donald and the nurse Jenny Reed were also invited. We sat in a table of the cafeteria and we introduced ourselves again. Six lively women were drinking and laughing and chatting. It was fun.

-"I didn't expect that one day I could order instead of getting an order." Samantha says and we laugh.

-"Life is unpredictable." Alice jokes.

-"Yes, it is." Samantha agrees.

Then, we were talking for a lot of things. Jenny told us her life in the Doctors Without Borders and her adventures there. She also told us about her stormy love life. She met many men in her life. Some of them were really good but it was not their destiny to be together and some others were trash. She is really open-minded and direct to what she wants.

Stacey was living in New York. She studied there and followed the profession of the police officer because her dad was one. She liked to protect the people but she soon realized that life in big cities was like a jungle. It was dangerous. When she received the notice of transfer in the countryside, she didn't dislike it. She wanted to try it first and decide which life fits her best. As far as her love life concerns, she was free but while she was here, her co-worker Timothy Straw flirted her and she was ready to accept his feelings.

Lily's relationship with Tony was progressing smoothly. He has already visited her house and was spending time with her baby. Her parents have no problem with him, after all he was a very kind and hard working young man. His love for her was known to all for long ago. She would soon receive his wedding proposal.

While we were talking about marriage proposals, there was another one for Alice. Her fiancé had already proposed last winter and the marriage was going to be at the end of this summer.

-"Well, if Tony hurries up, then we can have a double wedding." Samantha jokes.

-"What about you Samantha?" Alice asks.

-"Well, I was not lucky enough and after a big slap, I didn't try again."

-"You are young. Why are you afraid to live again the passion and every consequence of it?" Jenny asks.

-"Yeah. Samantha, you were so brave and direct and energetic. Don't tell me that a misfortune made you a coward." Alice dares her. Samantha drank some of her beer.

-"Well, it was not something insignificant but you are right. I must try again. I can't be alone in my whole life." She agrees with determination. Then, their gazes fell on me.

They had already known about my work at the library and that I was the director of the charity organization of New Leaf and my activity in that scope. I told them that I needed some peace in my life so I came to the countryside and one thing brought the other so I established New Leaf. Now, about my love life I didn't know what to say to them. I told them I am at a relationship with Daniel Parker but I was not sure of the present tense.

-"Look over there! Dr. Morgan and Mr. Gale came inside together." Samantha notices.

-"It is rare of Mr. Gale. He came to cafeteria only five times from the time he came to Green Hill." Samantha points.
