#27 One-Shot: They Give You Their Jacket

More specifically, characters YOU WOULD NOT EXPECT give you their jacket!! (in my opinion)

Theo Raeken

Unfortunately for you, you were kidnapped by Mr. Douglas, the physics teacher at Beacon Hills High, who also happens to be a lion-shapeshifter soldier. You were in the dark tunnels, tied up to one of the pipes, beaten up and bloody. Eventually, you knew Scott and the others would find you, but you were getting tired and hungry. What you were not expecting was that when the others were fighting Douglas off, you saw the face of someone you thought was dead.

"Theo?" you croaked out. "I thought you were-"

"Dead?" he finished for you, removing the restraints from your wrists. "Yeahh. I was. Until Liam decided to bring me back."

"Liam?" you said, a mixture of emotions running through your mind.

"We'll explain later," he informed, taking off his jacket and placing it around your body. "Right now, let's just get you out of here."

Theo picked you up bridal style as you instinctively gripped onto his jacket as tightly as you could, preventing it from falling off.

The others felt it was not safe for you to return home quite yet, so they brought you to Scott's place where Theo helped sit you down onto the couch, his jacket still around you.

"Do you need anything?" he asked, kneeling down in front of you. "Food? Water? Pain killers? A change of clothes?"

You scoff. "All of the above."

"I got it," Scott chimed in with, leaving the room to retrieve everything.

Theo didn't move from his spot, he simply looked up at you with soft eyes while he gently lifted his hand to move some stray hairs out of your face.

"Thank you," you eventually said.

He softly smiled at your words as him and the others helped you feel your best, again.

Derek Hale

One night, you were completely exhausted at Derek's loft when Scott gathered you and the others to form a plan to take down the newest threat in town. You were trying to stay awake on the couch, yet, inevitably, you crashed without realizing it.

You did not wake up until hours later, confused about what was happening and why a leather jacket was draped on top of you. As you took in your surroundings, you realized everyone was gone, except for the voice of the person you heard from behind you.

"You're awake," they said, and you turned your head around to see Derek sitting at a table with papers and books sprawled around him.

"What time is it?" you asked. "And why do I have your jacket?"

"It's around 2:15 in the morning," he answered. "And you have my jacket because I gave it to you, while you were sleeping. Speaking of which, the others were not too fond of you falling asleep, but I told them to back off and let you be."

"Okayy, and what are you still doing up?"

"I'm trying to see if there is anything we can do to be ahead of the threat," he said, continuing to skim through some papers.

"Did you find anything?"

"Would I still be awake if I did?"

"So, that's a no," you noted, pausing for a moment before speaking again. "Is it alright if I stay?"

"If I wasn't okay with you staying, you would have been woken up ages ago," he replied. "Plus, do you really think I am that willing to let anyone use my jacket as a blanket?"
