Chapter 12: Unexpected

The door to the bathroom creaked. Aria stuck her head out from the door leering into both sides of the hallway before she quickly walked out. The gorgeous sorceress was naked, she attempted to use stealth to make it to the room. It was right across from the bathroom but Kleina Joshua's sister appeared in the hallway. The two locked eyes and Kleina didn't look down at all. Aria let out a guilty smile. However Kleina suddenly did look down. This made the teen a bit nervous and weirded out but then she realized. Kleina wasn't looking at her body, it was actually just her hand. There was still blood on it. When Aria finally realized she just scratched her head with the clean one and said,

"Oh that I just cut it trying to.." Kleina gave her an over enthusiastic smile which didn't make the young girl buy that she believed it. However this awkwardness was quickly shifted to another as Mizune rubbed his eyes walking down the other side of the hallway. Aria quickly scooted in the room closing the door giving her an out explaining herself. However she didn't quite know why she didn't just say why... After all it was just a frog. Or at least that's what she told herself.

"I didn't see anything I was just waking up by the way." He said from outside the door. There was no response on Aria's end. Mizune and Kleina locked eyes and Kleina crossed her arms and said,

"Oh so you're awake. How was the trial?" Mizune awkwardly shrugged walked past her and headed down the steps. Kleina didn't turn around she merely nodded and said to herself,

"Right."

Aria finished getting dressed. This was different however she wasn't wearing some sorcerer robe she was actually dressed in a black crop top and a white short skirt with some black boots to match. She made her way downstairs and saw Mizune chilling on the couch. He was still in his academy robes, she noticed and said,

"Don't you ever get tired of wearing that?" She sat down next to him in the living room. Mizune was slouched with his arms resting behind the couch as he looked up at the ceiling with his eyes closed.

"It's actually quite comfy. Plus it has actual protection against magic. Unlike that Ms Sexy secretary." Mizune remarked joking towards the end as he opened his eyes and smiled. Aria rolled her eyes. She snapped her fingers and a black circular device appeared in thin air. It ringed for a bit until a hologram projected from out of it. It was Lakia.

"Ohh what's up Hottie, looking nice. For whom?" Lakia joked. She was walking out of a forest. Aria and Mizune were able to see the trees in the background though slightly.

"Ah don't answer that, we know you don't have any friends." The pink haired sorceress followed up as she swatted the air. Aria rolled her eyes again. Mizune then moved his head into frame.

"Kidding." Lakia joked.

"Alright well I'm heading back. Toodles love y'all." She said before hanging up the call. Aria just smiled in response and so did Mizune but his seemed more cheesy. With a snap of her fingers Aria made the magic call device apoear again. She glanced over at Mizune and says,

"You know, of all of us, speed wise you were the quickest." Mizune looked offened for a second.

"Were?" He remarked. The young girl merely shrugged and says,

"I mean, I kinda got wings now so. I think I'm faster than you now." Mizune smiled in response and crossed his legs.

"Yea we each had our own things we were the best at. I was the fastest. Joshua was the physically strongest and had the biggest aura. Lakia had versatility with her magic, And you have exceptional fighting skills." Aria actually giggled hearing this he didn't know why however. She slapped his arm and says,

"I like how you use the words, 'was', 'were', 'had', implying those things are no longer true and yet when it comes to my fighting skills you say 'have'." Joshua enters the scene with Kleina seconds later. She was treading behind him and he looked like he had a hangover. But not too long after even that the door to the house they were in busted open by a beautiful pink hair. Lakia walked in past Joshua and Kleina and sat down on the arm of the couch next to Aria. She crossed her legs and wrapped her arm around her companion. Joshua sat down next to Mizune and Kleina kept standing by the steps. Joshua looks at Lakia and waves a bit awkwardly but she didn't think anything of it. They all then looked at Kleina.
