Chapter 8: World's Collide

In a massive infinite void, two of the battles were taking place. It was Hera and Amaterasu vs Apophis and Atlas. The two goddesses stood next to each other surprisingly. Amaterasu scoffed at the idea of working alongside Hera whom she hates the most of any being.

"How's that wound?" Hera asked as she put her hands on her hips and eyed her opponents. The goddess of the sun didn't answer her and merely gripped her sword.

"Excellent response" The queen remarked. She did not like Amaterasu but she couldn't help but be glad at the fact her 'Ally' was unbothered by her wound. Apophis smirked as one of the shadow snakes slithered and hissed around her naked body. One of them snapped at Atlas but he didn't react to it and just has his arms crossed. Apophis raised her left arm in the air to which Atlas jumped away from her which signaled she was doing something dangerous.

"Ouroboros Technique: Infinite Shadow Vipers:" The snake woman said calmly. Both Hera and Amaterasu were on guard. With her palm still raised in the air, a black ball of energy formed inside her palm and then endless shadow snakss began shooting out of it. They came out upward but then changed direction and flew towards the both of them. Amaterasu had easily slashed apart the snakes while Hera just stood still. Yet the snakes that reached her were being repelled by a blue pulse coming from her aura.

"Purification cloak.." Atlas noted as Hera casually repelled the shadow snakes while Amaterasu slashed and slashed. Eventually Amaterasu gets irritated doing this so she jumps up really high and evades them all while simultaneously preparing an attack. She drew her sword in a circle in the air and said,

"Sun Technique: Strike of Dawn" A miniature sun forms in front of her. She uses that to ignite her katana as she flies through it with her insane speed. A trail of fire traveled behind her burning nothingness as she flew to Apophis. The snake woman had quickly stopped her spell to defend herself but it was already too late. The sound of a sizzle was heard as Amaterasu cut through her torso. But she did not stop there. She quickly turned around and sliced her again. Something Amaterasu did not account for was one of the snakes around her body had bit the sun goddess in her side.

"Amaterasu!" Hera shouted out as she races forward. Atlas jumped in front of Hera and gave her a one two combination and kicked her in the gut so hard she went flying backwards at insane speed. Amaterasu was about to slice the snake in two but surprisingly her sword deflected off the snake.

"What?" Amaterasu questioned as the snake let go of biting her and she jumps back. She looks at her wound and back at Apophis which something odd happened. The snake that bit her, formed into Apophis herself. That same naked brunette however the body of Apophis that Amaterasu had just cut in two had turned into a shadow snake and coiled around Apophis body parts.

"You're fast... but speed doesn't get you everything." Apophis mocked as she shot out a beam of darkness out of her finger. It was a massive blast but Amaterasu was able to quickly dodge it by jumping above it.

"I disagree let me show you why" Amaterasu stated as she snapped one of her fingers. Flames appeared all around Apophis. They were individual flames and but they were all around her.

"Oh?" The snake woman said curious. Amaterasu had her katana in between her beasts and inside her kimono when the snake goddess looked at her again. Amaterasu unsheathed it a little bit, and when she did the flames glowed. The kitsune disappeared in a flame. Apophis was weary even though her opponent was gone. And out of nowhere Apophis got slashed in her neck. It was a burning gash but it wasn't significant. However Apophis did realize two of the singular flames had went out. Two that were exactly across from each other.

"I see.." Apophis said to herself as she got struck again but this time from the front. Another it hit one of the coiled snakes and deflected. It was enough recoil to make Amaterasu visible briefly. And like that two more flames went out.
